I hate throwing out the age card but the second North American leg never should have happened. Christine's dealing with a hand injury (as a keyboard player, no less!), Stevie's had voice issues and has complicated a knee injury from 2013 due to a bone spur. Watch YouTube videos of their latest shows and compare them to the first 40 shows done in the fall of 2014 ... you can tell the band is drained.

If they had taken January off, then headed off to Europe and Australia/New Zealand they'd be done by now. They could all be off resting. Christine likely wouldn't have the hand injury, Stevie wouldn't be dealing with her knee injury, and would probably be much more keen on at least discussing the next Mac album. Stevie could rest, then spend the last half of the year promoting 24KG.

As for an album ... I think Christine's return is the only thing that would make Stevie even consider it. It's no secret she was very unhappy with how at least half her contributions to 2003's 'Say You Will' turned out under Lindsey's production. Lindsey is an amazing producer, and at one time yes he was her musical soul mate. I think that time has passed. They've both grown as solo artists but in different directions. My opinion is that if/when Stevie is finally rested and READY for a new Mac album, she's going to insist that Lindsey at least share co-producing duties with Dave on her contributions. And really, that won't be a bad thing because the best Mac records have had more than one producer.MplsMikehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16559454511654308597noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6620511595417365920.post-87551734367520925112015-06-07T10:51:00.652-05:002015-06-07T10:51:00.652-05:00It sux that Stevie continues to be so hesitant on ...It sux that Stevie continues to be so hesitant on a new FM album. It would beva final album which is important. To hear she is not into poetry and new music is signs of burn out. She has always worked so hard and I guess she's ready to retire sometime soonJohn Segerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13870704063219582222noreply@blogger.com
