Photos | Video: Stevie Nicks Live in Indio, CA at Fantasy Springs

Saturday, March 2, 2013
Fantasy Springs Casino in Indio, CA was the scene of Stevie's last solo show this past Saturday night ending officially, for real this time, the In Your Dreams Tour.. It's back to Fleetwood Mac in a month!  No changes to the set list from Vegas on the 28th.... One interesting bit of info that Stevie did mention, according to Blue Rose who attended was that she'd:

"be on tour with Fleetwood Mac for a year then its back to making new songs."

Always good to hear that she's thinking about making new music solo or with Fleetwood Mac... Hearing it over and over never gets old.  I'll take new music from any of them any day whether solo or with Fleetwood Mac.  She also dedicated Landslide to someone by the name of Denise.

Fantasy Springs Casino uploaded some pics to Flickr. Two are here, the rest can be seen on Flickr. Not sure who took the photos, but they did a fine job!

Set List:
  • Rock and Roll
  • Enchanted
  • Secret Love
  • Dreams
  • Moonlight (A Vampire’s Dream)
  • Gold Dust Woman
  • Soldier’s Angel
  • Stand Back
  • Leather and Lace (w/ Steve Real)
  • Rhiannon
  • Landslide
  • Edge of Seventeen
  • Love Is
GOLD DUST WOMAN
LOVE IS
Strong vocal performance on this one!

Stevie Nicks & Lindsey Buckingham: Amazing and Favorite Shows of 2012

Amazing shows of 2012 a prelude to big events of ’13
The Edge - Boston Herald

A look back at the best in live music in 2012 in Boston

8. Stevie Nicks (July 9, Bank of America Pavilion):
Every rock list is front-loaded with dudes. All this male dominance makes Stevie Nicks’ glory greater. On the classic “Stand Back,” she roared like the Golden God; her take on “Landslide” remained as sublime as ever. But “Gold Dust Woman” was the highlight: Not only was her voice spot-on, but when she sang, “Rulers make bad lovers/You better put your kingdom up for sale” with that still wild rasp, it was awesome.

3. Lindsey Buckingham, Aug. 18, One Eyed Jacks
Lindsey Buckingham’s solo albums don’t telegraph the kind of power the guitarist can deliver on his own. “Fleetwood Mac is the big machine, and this is the small machine,” Buckingham said onstage at One Eyed Jacks, explaining his choice to play a full tour of stripped-down shows in small clubs. It was a good choice – the force and passion of his unadorned voice, guitar and songwriting skill in the 300-capacity room was riveting. Fleetwood Mac, of course, will reunite for a world tour in early 2013, and it’ll be fabulous, I’m sure – but after that intimate show in August, I may be a convert to the power of the “small machine.”

7. Lindsey Buckingham at Lutcher Theater for the Performing Arts in Orange (Aug. 19, 2012)

Fleetwood Mac member Lindsey Buckingham opened the 2012-2013 Lutcher Theater season in style in a show which featured only the musician and his arsenal of electric guitars. Although he only performed a handful of Fleetwood Mac songs, it was night to remember.

Lindsey Buckingham Review - Madison, WI + Stevie Nicks Photos

LINDSEY BUCKINGHAM LIVE
The Barrymore Theatre, Madison, WI - November 18, 2012

by Andy Downing

With neither a backing band or an opening act in sight Sunday night at the Barrymore Theatre, Lindsey Buckingham gamely delivered in a sharp, 75-minute set that drew equally from his solo career and his time in Fleetwood Mac.

"Though a workmanlike singer at best, Buckingham remains a virtuosic guitar player, and his skill set was on full display this night. His fingers remained in near-constant motion as he plucked out weightless notes that fluttered like airborne butterflies and snarling riffs that mimicked great, mythical beasts. On the instrumental “Stephanie,” the guitarist conjured chiming acoustic notes that somehow mirrored distant church bells, while “Not Too Late,” a song about refusing to give up on your dreams, swung from delicate acoustic picking to urgent strumming, like a quiet mountain creek morphing into a raging river."

Review: Stevie Nicks Estero, FL "Nicks proved why she’s a legend"

Classic Stevie Nicks ends solo tour with heartfelt show at Germain Arena
By Tom Hanson

ESTERO — Stevie Nicks called the final stop of her “In Your Dreams” tour bittersweet.

For her fans, the two-hour performance Thursday night at Germain Arena was just sweet.

Nicks didn’t sell out the 5,000-seat venue, but her vintage voice filled the void for the baby boomer-centric crowd. She might be 64, but her classic hits and signature sound never get old.

With her sing-along lyrics, trademark melodies, a handful of new tracks off her latest album and stories behind the songs, Nicks proved why she’s a legend. She also proved sequins, shawls, flowing black outfits and long blonde hair never go out of style.

She ended the two-summer tour with “Love Is,” as she explained, a customary piano ballad encore. And then she professed her love for creating new music, touring and her faithful fans.

“I’m going to leave my heart here,” Nicks said right before her final bow. “I look forward to some rest, but I am going to miss singing some of these new songs.”

Nicks started out the show by slaying Led Zepplin’s “Rock and Roll.” With a montage of rock legends from the Rolling Stones to Paul McCartney flashing on the video screen behind her, the Fleetwood Mac frontwoman fit right in.

She was stuck in the ‘70s and that’s not bad. It was a pretty good decade for the singer-songwriter. And when the band went silent for the final lonely lonely lonely lonely time, Nicks’ unmistakable voice popped, showing she can still rock after 40 years in the business.

Her vocals matched the long, gold chain around her neck and the shimmering silver bangles on her wrists as she rattled off her repertoire of chart-topping hits and peppered in a few new songs along the way.

And for every hit she had a story.

She said she was proud of writing Fleetwood Mac’s only No. 1 song just before belting out “Dreams.”

She showed off a gold-dotted shawl after singing “Stand Back,” stating that it was the original garment worn in the 1985 MTV video.

She stripped-down the beginning of “Rhiannon” and then told the crowd she wrote it back in 1973, two years before joining Fleetwood Mac.

(I love the little dance she does at the 4:20 mark where she spins around)

Also check out Gold Dust Woman

She said 1973 was a great year for her as she wrote many hits that year.

She recalled sitting on the floor of a cabin in Aspen, Colo., in that same year. Back when, as she said, she wore platform shoes, had big curly hair and the perfect life. She asked to be left alone to write and immediately knew she had a future hit after finishing.

“I remember saying, ‘I think there is something to this song,’” Nicks said. “This little song turned into a ‘Landslide.’”

She said she remembered writing “Landslide” like it was yesterday. She sang it Thursday night like it was yesterday.

And for every new song she had a story.

Stevie Nicks Live in St. Petersburg, with Oprah Film Crew in tow!

Couldn't resist posting these two live shots that @GigiGanatra posted on Twitter.. Simply amazing especially this first one!  Great capture during Rhiannon of Stevie tonight in St. Petersburg at The Mahaffey Theater.

It looks like fans were treated with the full on setlist tonight (minus "Ghosts Are Gone") which based on the photo below doesn't look like it made it tonight!  Another change up tonight, is the dress and boots!  Stevie's back to the layered (I don't know what you call it) type of dress, switching out of the frilly ruffled one. And those boots look a little different in the heel..thinner and higher.

Thanks to @FleurDeBrie for taking a snapshot of the setlist! and to @GigiGanatra for the two stunning shots!  And to @dreamsunwind725 for the disclaimer.

OWN NETWORK Rumour Update:
A few days ago Tampabay.com printed online that Oprah's Own Network were rumoured to be coming to the show tonight to film segments of the show for an upcoming project for the OWN Network... Well according to @dreamsunwind725 on Twitter there definitely was a camera crew at the show tonight filming.  Brittany said:

"two cameramen were out tonight & there was a disclaimer on the door that the concert was taped for television purposes."

She went on to say that,

"most of the show was taped from the front few rows & side of stage. Everytime Stevie walked out camera followed."

So this is pretty cool, exciting and something new to look forward to!... Whatever Oprah and her Team put together on Stevie I'm sure it'll be amazing and classy and I look forward to seeing it!

@SteviesSara reminded me of the original Tweet that got this whole ball rolling with the OWN Network with this ReTweet from OWN President Sheri Salata:

RT @SheriSalata: @SteviesSara hoping to shoot the brilliant and legendary Ms. Nicks on masterclass soon.

Thanks to everyone tonight for the info and pics tonight...  Next stop St. Augustine tomorrow night.  Just a few tickets left here.

Video: Stevie Nicks Continues To Surprise! "In The City of Dreams"

She did it!!  Stevie Nicks performed "New Orleans" live for the first time EVER!

Stevie joined Glady's Knight and Melissa Etheridge in New Orleans last night at the AARP Life@50 event closing out the three day national conference with a live show at the New Orleans Arena.  Each played for an hour... Melissa first, Glady's second and Stevie closed the show... Unsure of Stevie's full setlist - it was likely abbreviated given she only played an hour. Mike Valentino and Beth Gallups were there... Below are their tweets to Stevie performing "New Orleans".

I think it's awesome that Stevie sang New Orleans... It's perfect for the city, a great tune and it had to be sung! Who knows when her next opportunity will be.

Thanks to an Anonymous comment we know have last nights setlist!

 1) Rock and Roll
 2) Rhiannon
 3) Landslide
 4) Stand Back
 5) New Orleans
 6) Gold Dust Woman
 7) Soldier's Angel
 8) Edge of Seventeen

Beautifully done!... Wow, this sounds so great!! and she gets a Standing O
Thank you Jackielezzie for capturing this and putting it up so fast!

Stevie Nicks and Oprah's OWN Network rumoured to connect at St. Petersburg Show 9/24

Stevie Nicks Live in St. Petersburg

MONDAY September 24, 2012

Mahaffey Theater, 400 First St. S, St. Petersburg. $65-175. (727) 892-5767.
After a pair of tours with Rod Stewart and the occasional reunion fling with Fleetwood Mac, rock 'n’ roll’s ultimate twirly girl returns for a solo show packed with her biggest hits. If recent setlists are any indication, you could hear Landslide, Edge of Seventeen, Stand Back, Gold Dust Woman, Dreams or any other Fleetwood Mac number.

Rumour has it Nicks might be bringing some television cameras to her show in St. Pete, supposedly to capture material for an upcoming project involving Oprah Winfrey’s OWN network.

Tampabay.com

Exciting!!  A number of months back Sheri Salata, President of OWN, mentioned on Twitter there was a possibility of Stevie taking part in the Master Class series on OWN... If the rumour is true, looks like it's inching one step closer!

Still a few tickets left for Stevie's show in St. Pete... Get them at Mahaffey Theater here!

2 More Sell-Outs for Lindsey Buckingham - Stevie Nicks Toein the Line

Lindsey's 2 shows at City Winery Chicago August 26th and 27th including Meet and Greets are now completely sold out!

These two new sell outs gives Lindsey a total of 7 shows since July 26th that have sold out well in advance of showtime, where if you went to the website selling the tickets, it either indicated sold out, or there were no seats left to choose from.  It's also entirely possible that other venues have sold out right at the last minute.  Not sure what this is attributed to, whether hitting these towns during the summer makes all the difference, or if it's because he's hitting markets he's largely never been to lately, the size of the venue or if it's just straight up good promotion on the part of the venue and his team - or all of the above.  Certainly the great ticket prices help!  In any case... GOOD FOR HIM! His tour runs through September 8th in Rama, Ontario Canada, which should end up being the largest audience yet on this tour... Nice send off!

There are still Tickets available for multiple Lindsey shows HERE!  Don't miss him and his stable of guitars... He's reportedly back with Fleetwood Mac next year and it could be awhile before he's back out on his own again.

Stevie's not doing so bad herself, aside from the big shows with Rod Stewart this summer where big crowds were guaranteed she's managed a couple of solo sell outs herself in advance. The smaller more intimate venues are a no brainer to see her show and tickets move quickly it seems. The Beacon in NYC and The Niagra Falls show were two examples of shows that sold out well in advance of their date. Most of the venues she's used to playing in have been considerably larger then what Lindsey's been playing with the ticket price to match.  Its cool that she's adjusting down a bit to a smaller venue in some cities.  Even though some of her top ticket prices are a real commitment from fans she still manages to move a ton of tickets in a short amount of time where other artists of her caliber would have to put the show on sale months in advance.  That's how you know you have confidence in your audience when you can announce a show a month and a half ahead of time with top ticket prices and still manage a sizable crowd.

Stevie has 5 shows coming up, next month, two of which were just announced within the last couple of weeks.  Her show in Thackerville, OK on September 21st at WinStar World Resorts was announced quite some time ago and there are literally only 9 tickets left!  Most of which are single seats!!  So grab those if you can!  Ticketmaster

The show in St. Augustine, Florida on September 25th which was just announced a couple of weeks ago and went on sale August 17th is well on it's way to selling out. Seats still available at the back of the theatre on both levels.  These are perfect venues to see live acts in, there really isn't a bad seat in the house even if you are near the back.  And the sound is incredible compared to the big arena shows... St. Augustine Tickets are here at Ticketmaster.

Estero, Florida on September 27th goes on sale this Friday August 24th 10am at Ticketmaster.  So far no pre-sale has been announced for this show that I know of so the bulk of tickets should be available come 10am Friday AM.  Get Ready!  Ticketmaster

Two other shows where Stevie will be performing with other performers include Voices in The Park in Stanley Park in Vancouver Canada September 15th.  She's there along with Sarah McLachlan Bryan Adams, Jann Arden and others (and singing with Don Henley the night prior at a private function).  Hope it doesn't rain.  Still a few seated area seats left. Not sure what the limit is on the general admission area behind the seats, but it should be an entertaining evening if you are in Vancouver, plus it's for a really good cause.  Get tickets at Ticketmaster

The New Orleans show on September 22nd is presented by AARP and performers include Stevie Nicks, Gladys Knight and Melissa Etheridge.  There appears to be plenty of seats left for this show, but I believe it's at the tail end of a AARP convention being held in New Orleans and there will likely be a lot of last minute ticket buying.  Secure your seats today on Ticketmaster.

NEW DATE: Stevie Nicks Live in St. Petersburg, FL Sept. 24th Tix Onsale Aug 11th

With rumors (sorry about that) of a 2012 Fleetwood Mac reunion swirling in the air, Stevie Nicks will sate her solo jones with a Sept. 24 gig at the Mahaffey Theater in St. Petersburg.

Now 64, the mystic Gold Dust Woman will play tracks from 2011 album In Your Dreams as well as her sweet solo blasts (Stand Back, Edge of Seventeen, If Anyone Falls) and Mac attacks (Rhiannon, Dreams).

And don't be fooled by the scarves and soft lighting: Ms. Nicks likes to TURN IT UP in concert, a robust volume her rock paramours (Don Henley, Lindsey Buckingham) would appreciate.

Tickets for the 7:30 p.m. show go on sale at noon Saturday (Aug. 11) and can be purchased at TheMahaffey.com, (727) 893-7832 or at the Mahaffey box office (which is open noon-6 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday). Ticket are $65, $85, $115, $125 and $175. The theater is at 400 First St. S., next to The Dalí Museum.
