Stevie's back in Nashville? PLUS Video shoot scheduled for Monday!

Today (July 28th)...

Well this is GOOD news... Looks like we'll see at least one video for Stevie's new album, and by video I also mean a single!

Director Paul Boyd of Dave Stewart Entertainment posted on his facebook page that he has a Stevie Nicks video shoot coming up on Monday... Also today Kaya Stewart posted on her instagram that she was back in Nashville with Stevie Nicks.  Do these two situations collide?  Are they shooting the video in Nashville? Is Kaya in the video like she was in Moonlight (A Vampire's Dream)?  Is Kaya playing/singing on Stevie's new album?  So many questions!  Or are these two completely separate situations and Stevie will be back in LA for Monday to film!  Interesting things happening.... Hopefully the video won't take months to get out there to the people.

Shooting video(s) is good news. I wonder if we'll get to see it/them. Videos for Annabel Lee, Italian Summer and Wide Sargasso Sea were obviously private momentos for Dave and Stevie's pleasure only.

Paul has stated several times that the video segments in the movie were just that - segments. They did not make full-length music videos for any of the song a besides those that were officially released. He said the segments were for pacing reasons

The video they're shooting is for the first single, "Julia."

Yep Paul told me via message on fb that "Julia" is first single

Get the f*ck out! I am the person who has posted several times that I hoped Julia (and If You Were My Love) make the album. I hope you're not spouting nonsense by saying Julia IS on the album. Is that FB msg public?

Who is Paul? Dave Stewart and Stevie have said before they did make full-length music videos for WSS, AL, and IS. So yes, there are actually videos for those songs.

Re-read the aritcle for this string of posts: "Director Paul Boyd of Dave Stewart Entertainment posted on his facebook page that he has a Stevie Nicks video shoot coming up on Monday". it is probably Paul Boyd they are referring to.

I am super-psyched to hear that Julia is on the album, but I am guarded and won't believe it until I hear it) - but it gives me hope. I can't wait for this album.

So very excited

yes went to sag harbor ny for the screening and Dave and Stevie did say that they have videos for those songs. So Paul is wrong.

I don't think it's Julia. The video would have to be more complicated, not just her singing into the camera.

Since the video is lip-synched, you have to assume Dave saying "epic performance" is the actual vocal on the new album. I'm also guessing that the video, once cut, will be snippets of Stevie singing along with pictures from the past edited in, probably many of the same images being offered in the booklet.

Since the Mac machine is about to kick into gear with rehearsals, this video is probably the one-shot marketing tool that they have for the entire project. Overall, I'm much more impressed with the release promotion on this album than IYD. It is a social media age and I'm thrilled to see her taking to FB and Instagram as intregal to building up anticipation. You know, chances of getting radio play are slim at her age, but we could still possible hear the tunes in other places controlled by Warner Bros, like on TV shows and movie trailers.

"Secret Love" got good rotation on AC radio stations and for enough time to keep it on AC airplay charts for a few months.

This project isn't about sales or airplay. If it were, IYD would have killed the very idea of another solo album.

I think this album may very well be the fan favorite when all is said and done.

When I met Stevie last December at the VDV signing for IYD at Barnes and Noble, The Grove/Los Angeles, I asked if WSS, Italian Summer, and AL videos would ever be released. Stevie and her assistant, Karen, both looked at me and said the clips we saw were made for the sizzle reel. That the only completed videos were the four included with the dvd. So, that's what she told me.

OOps..I meant "DVD" above

Now would be the time to do something about the Buckingham Nicks reissue. . . that would be great. One can hope and dream. . .
