  5. It was announced yesterday or the day before Stevie has a bone spur in her foot or toe, and that caused her to aggravate a knee injury from two years ago. They may need to postpone/reschedule a few dates. Fans should be respectful of this; we are very lucky they're even still out there.

    1. I understand your point with regard to being respectful to the artist, but that respect should be mutual towards the fans.

As one of those who had tickets for last night's concert, and who was informed 1 hour and 45 minutes before the event (like everybody else) that it had been cancelled, I'm not seeing an awful lot of mutual respect at the moment.

  6. We are very sorry to hear someone is ill. We are booked into a hotel in Manchester for the concert on Friday night and will be travelling from Scotland .....PLEASE let us all know what's happening so that we do not waste about £500!

  7. The music industry is a business - how old do you have to be to understand if you travel for a concert it is a gamble - a big gamble- people get sick- This band is a band of senior citizens that do not owe us anything. Sorry folks that it sounds harsh but postponements and cancelations from FM and SN are nothing new - what rock have you been living under? For those who traveled ---- go enjoy the beautiful city and the fact that life is beautiful.

    1. I suspect the issue is not the fact that they cancelled, but that they did it with essentially no notice. That's a pretty poor show by any standard, and I can completely understand why people are feeling short changed.

In addition, I can't reconcile your statements, "the music industry is a business" with "a band of senior citizens that do not owe us anything". Fundamentally a business requires a transaction i.e. A service is offered and delivered in exchange for payment - what rock have you been living under?

In future, perhaps you should focus on the beauty of life and avoid the inane comments.

  9. Found this.".Christine McVie ... to Perform Benefit Concert With Sammy Hagar June 9, 2015 10:43 PM.." somewhat interesting..,,, since it was apparently pre-arranged?? And for the person who made the comment that artist's shouds show respect to their audience?? I suppose you have never called in sick to work before? Or perhaps you have when you weren't really sick and just assuming everyone does the same thing... I also read that Christine has been having trouble with her throat.. As she skipped Songbird the previous show might just be her?????

  10. None of this would be happening if the second North American leg hadn't occurred. Stevie had vocal issues, and now she's dealing with a bone spur that aggravated a two-year-old injury. Christine injured her hand. I'm happy fans got to see the band, but for a band of their age (and I hate saying that, but c'mon) it is really not practical to do over 100 shows, each lasting over 2.5 hours and 24 songs, over 15 months? I think Fleetwood Mac needs to rethink their touring strategy. Perhaps it's time to take the show down to 90 minutes and call it good.

You're right, all illnesses obviously pop up with 24 hours notice. You've never just gotten sick out of the blue, you've always had ample warning yourself.

By the way, can you detect sarcasm? Just checkin'. WAY too much speculation here when no one knows who's sick. And for everyone who acts personally offended by it, clearly you don't go to many concerts, because this sort of thing happens a LOT.

As for my own comment, I hope the postponing is due to Stevie having that stick removed from her butt.

  12. Good lord- I thought America was full of self righteous cry baby whiners. The Brits win the award here. Go to many concerts do you? Cancellations occur on every tour. These guys have just finished 80+ shows with fewer than 5 reschedulings. They made up each one. That's not something done even by bands half their age.

  13. Your really silly for paying money to travel and not understand these sorts of things happen. I bet the same person who wants to be notified a day in advance would be angry at the band if someone crocked just hours before a show!
