Stevie Nicks CD reviews

US Magazine May, 2011
“In Your Dreams” Stevie Nicks (Warner) * * * ½
While we all wait (okay, maybe just some of us) for anything new from Fleetwood Mac, Stevie’s first album of solo material in ten years, co-produced by Dave Stewart and Glen Ballard, is going to fill the gap very nicely.

Stevie Nicks CD review 4/5
The album sounds like a pleasant mixture of old and new, and most pleasantly it works. The songs have a kind of mysticism to them, Stevie singing about ghosts and vampires. The stories are beautifully told by Stevie's voice that shines especially on slower New Orleans, which is the absolute highlight of the album.

  1. I won't hear the CD until Tuesday, but I love reading which songs reviewers/critics say they love the most. They're all different! I think that's a good sign of a great album! :-)

  2. I agree, Anonymous #1! But I really have issues with those 3 1/2 stars! I feel this work is nothing less than 4 1/2, but that's just my opinion!

  3. Yeah, I think that some of these are patronizing. They like the album a lot but hold back because it's her solo career and they never liked her voice. If this were a Fleetwood Mac album, it would easily get 4 stars.

  4. Hi Anonymous #3, it's Anonymous #2 and I think you've hit the nail on the head!

  5. Love what I have heard so far, and cant wait for the tour dates to start launching.. has anyone heard when she will start launching dates for the "In your dreams" tour. and dont forget Rumors is the group of choice for glee this week!!!! may 3rd, cd is launched, fleetwood on glee.... great time for stevie nicks,..... i hope she rocks it out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  6. omg! New Orleans called "the absolute hightlight of the album"!!! My home :) I can't wait to hear the whole thing. Heard the sample when FMac played here. Stevie, please, you've got to come here and sing it for us!

  7. This CD is soo fantastic. It was worth the wait. Stevie's voice on An Italion Summer is so beautiful and soulful. Must hv been quite the summer. Everybody Loves You is Great. All about Lindsey and her. That great first love tht stays w us forever This is Grammy material. WAY TO GO STEVIE! R. Bilello
