  2. Very happy for her....but, knowing how much that song and the experiences behind it mean to her, I am surprised. In concert I heard her call the song sacrosanct.

  3. I think Stevie donates all profits and royalties from this song to the USO and her own foundation for wounded soldiers aid.

  4. Of course, that makes sense...thanks for putting it in perspective :)

  5. Wow. I might actually watch this show now and give it a chance, not because Stevie's song was used in the promo but because it was USED WELL in the promo. The editing for the commercial was spot-on!

  7. Honestly, if it wasn't for the fact that it's a Marvel series, it would look about as exciting as a bowl of vanilla pudding. But I do love the way they used "Soldier's Angel."

  8. I, for one, have been known to get VERY excited over a bowl of vanilla pudding. I resent that comment.

  9. She so deserves this after the hard work on a song like this and really the whole CD. Maybe it will help too on getting the continued promotion of the CD. congrats Stevie

  10. this is very cool for her. she'll be happy, i hope somebody dvr'ed it for her while she's on the ''other side of the world''...and may she see something, see a handsome soldier...

nowhere else to ask? is $5000 too much to pay? i know it 'is'-
always have wanted her october, 2008 one-time-only live performance of 'love is like an itching in my heart' and that's the price. Has anybody ever heard it, or attended, maybe an audience recording would go for less and be enhanced?

the concert was a city of hope benefit in los angeles in mid october, 2008. jimmy iovine was there. stevie sang just the one song, a HDH classic. most stevie fans seem to have forgotten about it, but other than 'black velvet' i can't think of a cover song she has only sung once.

"IF" anyone knows a version is in circulation, please advise, gracias muchos. i won't pay the $5000. would anyone here? and then share it for free? i guess not.

Oh, back on topic, congratulations to Stevie Nicks for the Soldier's Angel exposure, somebody should e-mail the commercial to Karen.
Stevie hates being out of the country when something good for her career happens, here.

  12. Just heard a behind-the-scenes juicy tidbit that Linda Ronstadt had a major crush, and affair, with drummer Russell Kunkel. Interesting!

  13. Russ Kunkel is the man Stevie sings about in FOR WHAT IT'S WORTH. She too had an affair with him.

  14. ^^^ 3 above:

''do you know sentence structure is???'' to 'correct' a bizarre message above yours, but at least it made sense!

Who was going to e-mail Karen, anyway?

For "Itching'' one might check the pretty new Mike Bise blog, ivorykeys. Outstanding! Hundreds of lossless downloads, very rare stuff, even the sought-after- 8 track version of 'GDW'- he was right, it's different, and rocking! Congrats to Mike, it's an amazing blog and the quality of many of the songs is terrific. The time he spent, spends on it must be like a fulltime job. Like this very great fan page, it is comprehensive and fantastic.
