New Stevie Nicks Live Date Announced

SUNDAY JUNE 15, 2008
DTE MUSIC THEATRE
CLARKSTON, MI

WITH LIVE PERFORMANCES BY:
Stevie Nicks & Boston

Ethereal visuals, symbolic lyrics & an enchantingly unique voice have made Stevie Nicks one of the preeminent performers of the 20th century.

Between her solo career and days as the front woman for Fleetwood Mac, Nicks has produced over 20 top 50 fifty hits, including the top 10 tracks, “Edge of 17,” “Rooms On Fire,” “Dreams,” “Gypsy” & “Seven Wonders.”

Nicks was invited to join Fleetwood Mac in 1975 after Mick Fleetwood heard "Frozen Love," a song she wrote and recorded with then-boyfriend Lindsey Buckingham. The addition of Nicks to the band was the driving force behind the success of Fleetwood Mac's 1977 album, “Rumours,” propelling Stevie & her bandmates to international fame.

In 1981, Nicks launched her solo career with the release of “Bella Donna,” which included three top 10 hits, took the number one slot on the Billboard 200 and was certified five times platinum in 1990.

Nicks has been nominated for seven Grammy Awards, and – with Fleetwood Mac – won the 1977 Grammy for Album of the Year. As a member of Fleetwood Mac, she was inducted into The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1998.

Lindsey Buckingham New at #186

BUCKINGHAM'S QUICK: Lindsey Buckingham, who has more chart entries as a member of Fleetwood Mac than he does as a solo artist, has his fourth entry on his own on The Billboard 200 with "Live at the Bass Performance Hall" (Reprise), new at No. 186 with 3,518 in sales.

Those four solo Buckingham albums have charted over a span of 23 years and seven months, starting with "Go Insane" in September 1984. "Out of the Cradle" charted in 1992 and "Under the Skin" in 2006. The 18-month gap between "Skin" and "Live" is thus the shortest amount of time between solo Buckingham albums on The Billboard 200.

Lindsey Buckingham's semi-solo DVD has ups and downs but seems tired

Ron Harris, THE ASSOCIATED PRESS

"Live at the Bass Performance Hall"

Lindsey Buckingham (Reprise)

From the first song featuring a marathon of arpeggios, singer/songwriter Lindsey Buckingham assures viewers of his first live performance DVD, "Live at Bass Performance Hall," that he's still got the goods with a guitar in his hands.

But that's not saying much. Buckingham could thrill you with fancy fret work in his sleep. He's that good. It's the rest of the package - stage presence, voice and delivery - that Buckingham must deliver with confidence to really win us over.
