Stevie Nicks at #BIFF to present "In Your Dreams" called off... Film screening goes ahead

Update: Stevie Nicks: In Your Dreams special screening 13 Nov 13
Since the cancellation announcement of Fleetwood Mac’s tour, we understand everyone must be anxious to find out whether Stevie Nicks is still attending BIFF. Whilst we were really sorry to hear about John McVie and would like to wish him a speedy recovery, we did however extend an invitation to Stevie Nicks to present her film Stevie Nicks: In Your Dreams as planned. We were hoping we could make this happen and Stevie would love to have been with us however, despite our best endeavours we are unable to proceed. Stevie is writing a personal message to BIFF which we will share with you.

The screening of Stevie Nicks: In Your Dreams on Wednesday 13 November will take place as scheduled and the ticket price has now been adjusted to $16 (standard price for weekday day time session).

We would like to thank you for your patience in waiting for this update, and we apologise for any inconvenience. Ticketek will be in touch today with all patrons who purchased tickets (via email, phone or SMS message) to arrange either a full refund or an exchange of ticket at adjusted price (partial refund). We encourage everyone to now purchase tickets at the standard price, and join us to share Stevie’s creative journey on screen.

The BIFF Team x

One more blow for Australian fans.... So sorry to hear Stevie can't make it... If you can, go see the film, it's terrific!

Tickets available for November 13th and November 15th at BIFF

This is going to sound VERY selfish, but this is really a slap in the face. An unfortunate one, given all the circumstances - but a very hard slap in the face nonetheless. I had planned to fly from one side of the country to the other for this (IYD & Q&A), but now given that Stevie won't be there - I'm not going. Wishing she was there would cast too much of a dark cloud over it all for me, and I'd rather see the film for the first time feeling good about it.

Sorry Stevie, but I'm getting my money back. Pity the airfare isn't refundable too.

Well Joesph, I can certainly emphathize with you. I wasn't planning on going to the IYD Q&A, but I wad coming from the U.S ro see the band in New Zealand. Like you, I have decided not to make the trip because I know I wouldnt have enjoyed it knowing what could have been. Luckily, I was able to get about 75% of my money back though. These things happen. I feel for you.
