2 Photos: Stevie Nicks video shoot

Director Paul Boyd posted these photos below to his instagram account last night. One photo shows a camera crane in a theatre. The theatre pic (United Artists Theatre in Los Angeles) suggests they filmed the video in LA (and not Nashville) as a live performance on stage. No description on the photo with Dave and Stevie except to say "Rock Royalty". This looks like it could be the team behind Stevie's video shoot taken Monday in LA...

It's unconfirmed which song they filmed the video for.

Who else thinks that a Blue Denim style video would be great?!

I wouldn't be best pleased. I would prefer a 'Seven Wonders' style video with nice effects and dancing with costume changes because that is something that Stevie seems to be allergic to nowadays!!! That would seriously make my year :)

I think it's going to be similar to the Secret Love video. The special effects and imagery via "movie type pictures" behind her as she sings (with or without a microphone). This would be more inline with a single-day shoot compared to 3-day shoots for the videos of the '80s.

It does seem to me that Stevie is becoming more at ease with the social media these days, IE, all of Dave's post - snippets, Kaya posting pics of stevie on couch---Obviously someone else took that - Its great she is feeling good about this aspect, she was the original "selfie" queen! I think she just got on this whole bandwagon of being scared - when the reality is it is showing her as a human being (although with only 1 outfit and a pair of shades of course!!!)

She isn't pressing the "send" button herself. She has an assistant, Dave and others doing the social media thing. If not, none of us would yet know of a new album. It would be up to Warners to get the word out and look around...nothing from Warners at all. Warners first announcement will be the pre-order in early August.

Its not that she has to press SEND her self, just that in recent times she's allowing more pics of herself to be published through social media, she was very against Facebook, etc a few years ago. Please stevie doesnt' do much herself - she doesn't drive , she didn't know what paper or plastic meant , i bet she doesn't cook - she likes doing makeup and hair though! and she knows which "uniform" to get dressed in! But i would be the same way!

I don't think all the recent tweeting, Facebook posts and new Instagram account means that Stevie herself is more comfortable with social media or computers at all. Her employees, friends and associates are the ones who are comfortable using it and with it. I think all of the updates for the past couple of records mean that either she doesn't really care how the word gets out about the new record, singles and videos or that she has very little to nothing to do with the promo for it. I don't believe for a second that she would ever post anything herself. Everyone around her does that on her behalf. I think she more sees it as a necessary evil than something she genuinely wants to embrace and become part of herself. As for pictures being posted, both she and Dave want this record to sell. What better way to get some early advertising in and get excitement built up than exactly what has been going on? Let Dave or her assistant get on the Internet and put up pictures and make cryptic comments. That has more than succeeded in getting some of the fan base worked up and they know that. This is all carefully planned and being executed brilliantly for the desired effect.

Interesting comments on video style ... I loved the theater-esque style of "Seven Wonders," but I realize it will probably be something more modern ... it would be really cool though it it pulls from "Secret Love," "Seven Wonders," and "Gypsy" combined with very modern elements.

Dave posted a pic on Instagram that looks like the same stage as the picture above (red curtain) but the curtain is open and a video or still shot of a rolling ocean wave covers the entire backdrop. There appears to be musical equipment and microphone(s) on stage but it's dark and a bit hard to see exactly what'son stage.
