NEW VIDEO: Stevie Nicks X Factor Australia "Secret Love" + Fleetwood Mac medley

I think Stevie did a really great job on "Secret Love"... She was certainly making the most of her few minutes on stage in front of a national audience... She looked great! GO STEVIE!  Little confused on the "new single" angle... Thought it was released in Australia back in May like the rest of the world?

X Factor finalists performing Fleetwood Mac Medley "Little Lies" "Don't Stop" "Go Your Own Way"
They actually did a pretty amazing job I thought!

When is Fleetwood Macv going to take the Tango songs seriously again? I know Christine has left my Little Lies is so much fun - and it showed here. So is Seven Wonders. But all the songs sounded fresh. Even 34 years on!

I've got to be honest - I don't like the way SECRET LOVE has come off in live appearances. Stevie hits it too hard here. It totally loses the charming lullaby quality it has on record. Her voice gets flat and tight with the change in phrasing styles. It has to do with the song, not necessarily Stevie's voice, because she's recently sounded GREAT live on other songs, particularly SOLDER'S ANGEL. Anyone else agree/disagree?

I agree. When she‘s good she‘s the best, but when she‘s pulls out Secret Love on live TV . . . Look out! I want her to shine and sweep everyone off of their feet and sell a zillion copies In Your Dreams. She should have done Solders Angel, Unplugged Moonlight, You May Be the One or brought down the house with Love Is. This is a show about vocals so pick something you can sing the hell out of and blow peoples minds!

I thought it was alright... But I never thought Secret Love translated very well live, especially on TV, there's something about tv that just makes real live performances with instruments kind of suck. Plus... More pop leaning tunes never quite live up to their album versions. If it's a straight ahead rocker or acoustic track it works better... but the pop stuff not so much. But she worked it... Give her credit for that...

I agree. Stevie does hit this song too hard, She needs to start singing other songs from her CD. This makes her look like she can't sing anymore and I adore Stevie.

I do have to agree that Stevie does sound flat through most of the song with a few shining moments and am disappointed that it comes out this way since she should shine on TV. I am at a loss as to why she did not perform Moonlight and could have shown everyone just how rocking and amazing that song is and how much she gets into it. I mean, doesn't her management get copies of the performance and they can see the result. Someone is not making the right decisions here.

I do wish she would use a different song from the CD. Ghosts is a helluva good rocking song done live.. Secret Love should be softer,,
BUT that said, she looked fantastic!!! Even the feathers were done well. Wish she would colourize a little??
The medley was alright, but then NO ONE does a Mac song right but Fleetwood Mac!!

She would have done worse with Moonlight - it's absolutely horrible live and she sings it overly harsh as well. That said, I've seen her sing it at the piano and hit some very good notes - but it ultimately doesn't come off like the CD cut. I would hope she will show the world her "Love Is" voice and do "You May Be the One". Just as Secret Love shakes my faith, I here her sing Love Is live and my faith is restored . . . in a BIG way!

It's just the way live tv reproduces. which is too bad for her, The Dance, Live in Boston, Soundstage..ALL live vocals. And at least shes not hiding behind a track. Freak'n label should be more behind this album.. It could had been so much bigger. And Stevie if you read this never stop making music. Dont know what id do. The future of music just maybe in releasing singles all the time instead of LPS once in a while.Dont tell no one that.LOL

Hmmmm, I rather liked her hard vocal delivery of "Secret Love" here. I also saw her perform it in concert live this year on the tour which also sounded good. By the way, for those who say "Moonlight" sounds bad in concert should check out her Wiltern Los Angeles performance on youtube. I was there and it rocked.
