Stevie Nicks’ In Your Dreams set to hit Canadian screens

Here we go again, with her crystal visions.
The documentary In Your Dreams, an inside look at the recording of Stevie Nicks’ 2011 solo album of the same name, is set to hit Canadian screens, starting in Toronto at the TIFF Bell Lightbox on April 15, one day prior to Fleetwood Mac’s concert at Air Canada Centre.

While the high-heeled singer is in town, she’ll also appear at the Lightbox for a pair of Q&A sessions. At those post-screening chats, Nicks is expected to speak candidly about her Mac bandmate and former paramour Lindsey Buckingham, who has not been promised rebuttal time. According to the press release, the film includes cameos by Edgar Allan Poe, actress Reese Witherspoon and a massive white stallion. Naturally.

Stevie Nicks to discuss career at Toronto screening

TORONTO -- Rock legend Stevie Nicks will discuss her wild career at the Canadian premiere of her documentary film "In Your Dreams."

The movie includes scenes in Nicks' home studio and traces the making of her 2011 album of the same name.

It features Nicks discussing her rise to fame with Fleetwood Mac, her current sources of inspiration, and tales of occasionally knocking heads with album producer Dave Stewart.

"In Your Dreams" is slated to screen April 15 at TIFF Bell Lightbox in Toronto. Organizers say it will be followed by a Q&A session.

There will also be three regular screenings April 16 to 18.

"In Your Dreams" was Nicks' first solo album in more than a decade.

Dave Tweeted a couple of days ago that he was meeting up with Stevie to discuss possible release dates for their "In Your Dreams" Documentary... It's been fairly quiet since the last screening of the flick in Las Vegas last November, so an update like this is appreciated.  Fans are pretty eager to get their hands on this last installment of the In Your Dreams saga.  This month marks the 3 year anniversary that Dave and Stevie began working together formulating the album... Man time flies by!  I'm sure the wait will be worth it.

The Grammy winner is set to perform at the Fantasy Springs Special Events Center on Saturday, March 2, as part of her “In Your Dreams” tour.

With songs such as “Stand Back” and “Edge of Seventeen,” the solo artist is known for her memorable performances, her distinctive voice and songwriting talents. “In Your Dreams” is Nicks’ first album in a decade.

Nicks has been touring for the past year and a half and is working on a documentary on the making of her new album, which will be released at the end of this year.

Few more details:  There was a private Meet and Greet following the Q&A session with a professional photographer taking pictures of those who attended with Stevie.  Waddy was there as well and according to Maxx (see comments) Stevie sang "Soldiers Angel".

Friday (Nov. 9), Stevie Nicks and Dave Stewart hosted a special screening of “In Your Dreams,” a film the pair directed together, followed by a rousing Q&A discussion. Several dozen veterans and active duty military were invited to attend the event as Stevie shared her personal inspiration for the film and discussed her lengthy career.

LINDSEY BUCKINGHAM BLASTS OFF ON SATURDAY

Beginning this Saturday in Oklahoma City, Lindsey kicks off presumably the last round of dates in support of his last solo album "Seeds We Sow" and this completely solo experiment he's been testing.  He's also putting out a new solo acoustic live album titled "One Man Show" documenting this experience/experiment.  The recording is of the Des Moines, IA show from this past September 1st.  Lindsey says it's "Live and Raw... and without post production!" Given Lindsey's penchant for noodling in the studio, this is completely out of character for him. Knowing that, this likely sounds amazing and I can't wait to hear it!  The digital only album is set to be released November 13th via itunes.

Stevie Nicks "In Your Dreams" Documentary Screening + Q&A Las Vegas Nov 9th

Stevie Nicks is set to attend Sunset Sessions Las Vegas at The Cosmopolitan Hotel which takes place between November 8th - 10th.  She'll be on hand November 9th to screen her new documentary "In Your Dreams - Stevie Nicks" and also take part in an Interview and Q&A session. The documentary screening and Q&A runs from 8:30pm - 10:30pm at the Cosmopolitan Las Vegas according to the Sunset Sessions website.

(FYI, Dave Stewart also has the information posted in the events section of his website, but it's conflicting with the Sunset Sessions info.  Dave has Nov 8th at 4pm for the event but that's actually the start of the first day's Main Stage.)

This is the first time Sunset Sessions has opened the event to the public - so anyone can attend buy purchasing single day passes, or full even passes.

Couple of interesting points other then everything Stevie talked about. ° She'll be attending the NYC premiere of Celebration Day, the Led Zepplin film that chronicles the band’s 2007 reunion concert at London’s 02 Arena.  The premiere takes place at the Ziegfeld Theater on Tuesday night.  And according to what she said at today's Q&A she'll be with the Zepplin boys. ° Stevie does not like the fact that Ken Caillat wrote his book "Making Rumours".  She feels it's not his place to tell their (Fleetwood Mac's) story and said that she refused to take his numerous calls where he was calling to interview her on 'her' story.  ° Also, Stevie confirmed that Fleetwood Mac go into rehearsals at the end of February, 2013.

Stevie says filming was from February to December, 2010 which we knew... She also says they edited it down from 100 hours down to 3 hours, then in the last four months, they edited it down from 3 hours to 1 1/2 hours.  She says it's like an old fashioned Rock & Roll Film.  She didn't announce a release date... But reports last week indicate that it should be out by the end of this year.  Interview was during the Songwriters Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony in New York City June 14th

"We filmed it. And we filmed it from February to December. And it took them all year to actually edit it from 100 hours to three hours and in the last four months we've edited it down to an hour-and-a-half. Um, it's really a magical little film, because it really shows you -- it's like and old fashioned rock n' roll film about how, y'know, you go. . . My idea and Dave's idea was Led Zeppelin recording at the Grange. So we said. 'We have. . . I have a big old house, so let's record the record there' -- and that's what we did."
