FLEETWOOD MAC Back on Billboards Top 200 Albums Chart... Sort of

BILLBOARD TOP 200 ALBUMS CHART

Just Tell Me That You Want Me, the new Tribute to Fleetwood Mac album debuted at #45 on Billboards Top 200 Albums Chart this week with sales of 8,029 units in the United States. The album also debuts at #39 on the Top 200 Current Albums Chart, #15 on the Top Rock Albums Chart, #67 on the Top 200 Digital Albums chart and #34 on the Top 50 Internet Albums Chart.

TOP 200 CATALOGUE ALBUMS CHART:
On other US charts, Fleetwood Mac have four (4) titles maintaining a presence on this weeks Top 200 Catalogue Albums. 

1988's GREATEST HITS moves up to #83 from #90 last week with total sales of 2,001 units vs 1,893 the previous week. Of the 2,001, Digital sales amounted to 1,415. Total US sales since November, 1991 = 4,579,523.

1977's RUMOURS moves down one place this week to #92 but increases in sales by 2% with 1,928 units sold for the week vs 1,891 the previous week. Of the 1,928, Digital sales amounted to 1,075. Since November, 1991 the album has sold 2,984,146 units in the US.

1975's FLEETWOOD MAC moves up to #116 from #130 last week with a 5% increase in sales to a total of 1,682 units sold for the week vs 1,599 the previous week. Of the 1,682 units sold, 1,364 were Physical album sales.  Total US sales since November, 1991 = 865,475.

2002's THE VERY BEST OF moves down to #141 this week from #112 last week.  Total US sales for the week were 1,557 vs 1,688. All 1,557 US sales were physical album purchases, as the album isn't available digitally in the US.  Total US sales for the double CD set to date is 1,506,828.  By crossing the 1.5 million in sales mark, the album now qualifies to be certified for 3 x Platinum in the US.  Because it's a double album, each cd in the set is counted towards certification, so for every sale, its like 2 albums are sold.

Charts Update: Fleetwood Mac | Stevie Nicks Australia, UK, USA, Netherlands

For the week February 20, 2012.

All albums plus The Dance on the Top DVD chart move down the charts significantly this week. Rumours plus The Greatest Hits albums both drop off the catalogue charts completely making way for a slew of Whitney Houston catalogue titles that re-enter the charts.

Two weeks worth of Top Catalogue chart info and sales data for the US beginning with the chart for the week ending February 5th.  Rumours drops to #128 from #93 the previous week.  Sales for the period were 2,026 for an accumulated total of 2,928,923 units sold in the US since November, 1991.  Greatest Hits drops out of the Top 200.

Rumours continues its decent on the Catalogue Chart sliding 8% in sales moving from #128 to #181.  Sales for the week ending Feb 12th were 1,867 for an accumulated total of 2,930,949 units sold in the US since November, 1991.

In terms of digital sales vs actually CD sales, Digital sales for Rumours for the week ending February 12th were 1,354 and for Greatest Hits they were 680.  Landslide drops off the Top 200 Digital Tracks listing this week - it was #141 last week.

ADELE'S HOT ON FLEETWOOD MAC'S HEELS
With "21" about to hit its 21st non-consecutive week at No. 1 on the US Billboard Top 200 album chart this coming week - with predicted sales in the 600-700k range (it's largest one week sales ever), Adele is hot on the heels of Fleetwood Mac's 31 week stint at No. 1 with Rumours.

Top 10 Debut for Lindsey Buckingham's DVD Songs From The Small Machine in the US.  For the sales week ending November 6th Lindsey's new  live DVD enters the Top 40 DVD Music DVD Chart at # 10 - dropping to # 24 in it's second week.  Congratulations Lindsey!

With Stevie in Australia for a 10 date tour... Sales for both her albums and Fleetwood Mac's have been stimulated to the extent that Fleetwood Mac's 2 disc set The Very Best Of has taken over the # 1 spot on the Catalogue chart this week with Stevie's Crystal Visions jumping up an impressive 24 places from # 30 last week to # 6 this week.  Both Rumours and Greatest Hits also re-enter the chart this week as well at # 18 & # 28.  On the main Top 100 Albums chart, 2 of Stevie's albums re-enter.  Crystal Visions at # 44 and her new album In Your Dreams at # 89.  Fleetwood Mac's The Very Best Of moves up 5 places to # 24.  Rumours in the USA this year had a great run beginning back in April / May with it's association to Glee and to Stevie and her album In Your Dreams being released.  Rumours lands on the top 40 YTD Catalogue Album Sales tally at # 32 with approx. 131,000 units sold in 2011 alone.

In the USA - Sales are booming for Fleetwood Mac's Rumours landing in the Top 40 YTD Catalogue Album Sales at # 32 with sales of approx. 131,000 units in 2011.

On the most current Top 200 Catalogue Sales Chart Fleetwood Mac's Rumours is at # 195 for the week ending November 13th with sales of 1,542 units (#173 previous week with 1,297 units sold).  Total accumulated sales for the album in the US since November, 1991 when Soundscan began tracking sales are 2,902,134.

Chart Updates: Lindsey Buckingham | Stevie Nicks Albums - Billboard


Billboard Magazine Albums Chart for the sales week ending September 18th and issue date October 1st has Lindsey's "Seeds We Sow" in week 2 dropping over 100 places from a debut last week at # 45 to # 149 this week.  On the Top Current Albums Chart the album drops to # 132 from # 43 last week.  Lindsey's album sold 3,513 units in the US last week down from 8,857 the previous week for a total thus far sold in the US of 12,496.

Stevie's "In Your Dreams" moves up to # 161 after re-entering the chart last week at # 198. Also on the Top 200 Current Albums Chart in it's 18th week of release In Your Dreams moves up to #142 from # 157 last week. Stevie's album sold 3,305 units in the US last week up from 2,597 the previous week for a total this far in the US of 155,581.

Both albums drop on the Top Rock Albums Chart, Seeds to # 44 and Dreams to # 49.  Lindsey's Seeds We Sow remains on the Top Independent Chart at # 32.

  • On the Top 50 Album Chart, Fleetwood Mac "The Very Best Of" moves up to #32 after re-entering last week at #43.
  • On the Top 50 Catalogue Chart the 2cd set moves up to #2 from last weeks #4.  
  • On the Top 50 Physical Albums Chart, the disc moves up to #27 from #33 last week.
The set was recently certified 6x Platinum in Australia = 420,000 units shipped in Australia.

CHART UPDATE: "THE VERY BEST OF" FLEETWOOD MAC

Fleetwood Mac's 5x platinum "The Very Best Of" leaps back onto the Top 50 Catalogue Album Chart in Australia at #9 for the week of September 27th. The disc was last seen on the chart at the end of May, 2010.

FLEETWOOD MAC GREATEST HITS STILL ON THE CHARTS

Fleetwood Mac's Great Hits - Released in 1988 is still riding the Top Pop Catalog charts in the US. In the Billboard Magazine issue dated September 5th it's sitting at #48. The Previous week it was #49 and the week prior to that it was #46. In total, it's spent 480 weeks on the Top Pop Catalog chart. It peaked at #1.

SALES DATA - FLEETWOOD MAC RUMOURS AND GREATEST HITS

Fleetwood Mac's "Greatest Hits" riding high on the Billboard Top 200 Catalog Album Sales Chart. For the week ending May 31, 2009 the disc is sitting at #15 with sales of 4,214 a dip in sales of 4% over last week where it sat at #13 with sales of 4,404. Since Soundscan began tracking point of sales in 1991 Greatest Hits has moved 4,229,451 units. In two months from March 29, 2009 up to May 31, 2009 the disc has sold 37,204 units.


Rumours re-enters the Top 200 Catalog Album Sales Chart. For the week ending May 24, 2009 the disc sat at #181 on the chart selling 1,261 units. Sales increased 10% the next week for the week ending May 31, 2009 to 1,382 units which in turn moved the disc up the chart to #156. Since Soundscan began tracking point of sales in 1991 Fleetwood Mac's Rumours has moved 2,681,261 units. Since April 4, 2004 which is the last time I saw sales data on Rumours on the Catalog Album Sales Chart the disc has moved 323,764 units.
