The voice of Stevie Nicks has been a part of many home music collections for decades. Whether it be one of her solo albums or the days with Fleetwood Mac, Stevie has one of the most recognisable voices in the business.

She has visited Australia so many times she has trouble providing an exact count but she definitely knows she loves the place. Well Stevie is back and this time she is touring with Dave Stewart who worked closely with her on her new album 'In Your Dreams.'

Stevie took time out for a chat with Eoin Cameron on the breakfast program discussing her recent work, the roller-coaster ride with Fleetwood Mac and the distinctive look she has stuck with during her career.

Interviewing rock legend Stevie Nicks was a dream come true, writes Amber Petty

GETTING to Interview rock legend Stevie Nicks was a dream come true, writes Amber Petty.

INTERVIEWING famous people can sometimes be a double-edged sword because, in the case of the ones who you've always loved and adored, when your big moment arrives, the bubble can burst.

Then you're left with the uncomfortable realisation that they're not quite as nice as you'd hoped - or not during your moment anyway.

So when I was asked recently if I'd like to interview Stevie Nicks, my "yes!" came almost as an out-of-body experience - it was loud, direct and I'm not sure my lips even moved. To put it mildly, I love her.

Oh, where to start? What was she like as a young woman? Before the fame and before the pressure. A lifetime of questions with a 15-minute interview window.

She began by her telling me that back in the '70s she had read a book called Forever Amber and had thought if she'd had a daughter she would call her Amber.

Was I having a candid camera moment here or was this really Stevie Nicks talking about my name? I may possibly combust.

NEW VIDEO: Stevie Nicks X Factor Australia "Secret Love" + Fleetwood Mac medley

I think Stevie did a really great job on "Secret Love"... She was certainly making the most of her few minutes on stage in front of a national audience... She looked great! GO STEVIE!  Little confused on the "new single" angle... Thought it was released in Australia back in May like the rest of the world?

Video: Stevie Nicks Voice Over on Katy Perry video for "The One That Got Away"

Well well well... If it isn't Stevie Nicks doing the voice over on this preview of Katy Perry's new video for "The One That Got Away" Awesome!

Stevie did say not that long ago that she wanted to collaborate with Katy on something.. Is this it?

The legendary Stevie Nicks has said several times that she'd like to work with Katy Perry, and now she has.  Katy's rep confirms to ABC News Radio that it's Stevie's voice you hear doing the voiceover in the trailer for Katy's new video, "The One that Got Away."  Stevie will not actually appear in the video, however -- she simply does the voiceover.

In the trailer, Stevie says, with regret, "The past is like a handful of dust.  It filters through your fingers, disappearing, little by little.  I wish for one day, I could go back.  In another life, I would do things differently."  The images from the video show Katy and a guy involved in what appears to be a very intense relationship, but then he's seen storming out the door.  There are also images of someone driving a car, and fingering what looks like a veil or tiara.  Katy is also seen standing by a fence, her back to the camera.  It looks as though she may be dressed in black, with a veil -- is she in mourning?  All will be revealed on November 11, when the full video makes its debut.

Stevie Nicks Live in Perth November 26th ** VENUE CHANGE**

PERTH VENUE CHANGE!
McManus Entertainment

Due to unforeseen circumstances relating to the change of production specifications for the Stevie Nicks concert, McManus Entertainment advise that the event will now be held at the WA Athletics Stadium in Mt Claremont on the scheduled date of Saturday 26th November.

Promoter Andrew McManus stated, “Although it’s never convenient to change the advertised venue, it is great that VenuesWest have opened the WA Athletics Stadium as a concert venue.”   “When I recently visited the site with a view to running the 80’s Dance Picnic Party featuring UB40 there, I was very impressed by the fabulous surroundings that I believe will give artists a great ambience to perform in.”  “When confronted with a series of logistical issues with some production changes for the Stevie Nicks concert I decided that the WA Athletics Stadium was the venue to go to.”

VenuesWest WA Athletics Stadium Chairman, Graham Partridge stated, “VenuesWest is delighted to have such huge international artists who have, between their band and solo projects, sold in excess of over 250 million records worldwide play the first outdoor music event in the Mt Claremont sports precinct.”

“The WA Athletics Stadium has a fantastic location and beautiful ambience for a concert and I’m sure the fans will love it,” he said.

“To mark this first event VenuesWest will be offering existing ticketholders free parking at our 4,000 plus onsite facility.”

Stevie Nicks | Lindsey Buckingham and the Grammy Possibilities

Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham
Two amazing artists putting out arguably their best solo material
Could a Grammy be next?

2011 has been an incredible year for both Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham.  Within the span of 5 months both have put out critically and to a certain extent commercially successful albums.  They have both toured North America this spring, summer and fall and continue to tour with upcoming shows booked in the UK and Australia. They have surrounded themselves with incredible musicians backing them up in the studio and on the road which resulted in two stellar albums, cool videos and really amazing interesting live performances in some great historic venues!  It goes without saying that each has had an amazing run as a solo artists over the years, not to mention being members of Fleetwood Mac, so to see this level of artistic achievement from them at this stage in their careers is just mind blowing... And both show no signs of stopping now!  In fact it almost feels like they are just getting started!  They continue to roll on with Lindsey releasing a live DVD/CD package out Oct 31st in the UK & November 1st in North America and Stevie is reportedly prepping her "Making of" In Your Dreams documentary.  It's also been an incredible year for fans on both sides of the fence so any Grammy nominations on top of all this would just be icing on the cake!

I'm really excited for both of them and wish them both the best of luck as the list of artists and their submissions is fairly lengthy with a lot of really great performers this year hoping to grab a nomination.

FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION
Here's a list of submissions for Grammy consideration for both Lindsey and Stevie.  Actual nominations are announced at some point in December with awards given out early next year.

Stevie and her team have submitted two songs in 5 categories. "Secret Love" for Song of the Year, Record of the Year and Best Short Form Music Video categories.  They have also submitted "Soldiers Angel" in the Best Rock Performance and Best Rock Song categories.  Stevie's album "In Your Dreams" was also placed in the Best Pop Vocal Album and Album of the Year categories.  Lindsey Buckingham and his team have submitted his album "Seeds We Sow" in for consideration in the Best Pop Vocal Album and Album of the Year categories with the lead single "In Our Own Time" being submitted to the Best Pop Solo Performance and Song of the Year categories. GOOD LUCK TO BOTH!!

Recap: A Grammy Museum Evening with Stevie Nicks

Stevie Nicks Shares a Dozen Stories at L.A. Performance
Billboard Magazine  by Phil Gallo, L.A.

Steve Nicks entertained and educated high school students and fans Wednesday at two sessions at the Grammy Museum in Los Angeles. She touched on everything from her childhood to her recently released album "In Your Dreams," providing the audience with imitations of her Fleetwood Mac bandmates Christine McVie and Lindsey Buckingham, tales of poverty and success and revelations about her past. Here are a dozen she shared.

1. "Moonlight" -- currently her favorite song on the new album "In Your Dreams" -- was written after she saw "The Twilight Saga: New Moon." "I saw it while we were on the road with Fleetwood Mac in Australia. I was so taken by the movie that I wrote a five-page essay after seeing it and went back to see it the next night in Brisbane. I had a piano in my room and I wrote ("Moonlight")."

2. There is music in the vaults from the "Fleetwood Mac" and "Rumours" sessions. "Lots of stuff -- lots of songs that turned into other songs. It could get released some day."

3. On the making of Fleetwood Mac's double album "Tusk" in 1979: "'Tusk' was 13 months at Village Recorders. Lindsey had tusks on the wall and all these weird Polaroids. I thought this must be what hell is like. With speakers. I felt like I was watching weirdo spirits. It's a lot more fun to tell stories about that record than it was to live through it."

Reviews X 2 for Lindsey Buckingham & Stevie Nicks - The Grove of Anaheim

Stevie Nicks - City National Grove of Anaheim – 10/12/11
Review & Photos by Chris Loomis
SoCalmusictoday

The Gold Dust Woman, Stevie Nicks made the fourth stop of her brief intimate five date fall 2011 tour at The City National Grove in Anaheim on Wednesday October 12 supporting her latest solo release In Your Dreams (released May 2011). Nick’s popularity is as strong as ever evidenced by the sold out show in Anaheim on this night. At 9:00pm the lights dimmed and the Missing Persons classic “Destination Unknown” was played until the Fleetwood Mac singer hit the stage and opened the show with the solo classic “Stand Back”. Stevie Nicks made it clear to the packed house that “This was not a greatest hits tour” and she was promoting her latest album and then continued on with her nearly 2hr set comprised of solo material old and new with some Fleetwood Mac classics mixed in.

Lindsey Buckingham - City National Grove of Anaheim – 10/17/11
Review & Photos by Chris Loomis
SoCalmusictoday

Successful solo artist and Fleetwood Mac vocalist/guitarist Lindsey Buckingham brought his Seeds We Sow tour to the City National Grove in Anaheim Monday night October 17 just days after his Fleetwood Mac band mate Stevie Nicks rocked The Grove – Anaheim sure got its fix of Fleetwood Mac classics between the two. The Seeds We Sow tour is in support of Buckingham’s latest solo album of the same name which was released back in September. At about 8:40pm Lindsey Buckingham kicked off a 90 minute set of music from his entire career. Buckingham began the night alone on the stage playing five songs with just an acoustic guitar that included one of his most popular solo hits “Trouble” and the Fleetwood Mac song “Never Going Back Again”.
