UK TV Alert: Sound City feat. Stevie Nicks, Lindsey Buckingham & Mick Fleetwood debuts on BBC 4 Tonight

Dave Grohl's American rock documentary Sound City set to make UK TV debut on BBC Four

Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl's documentary about Los Angeles' notorious Sound City will make its UK TV debut this month.

The rock legend, who was also a member of band Nirvana, directs, produces and appears in the feature length documentary about the history of American Rock.

It looks at some of the famous faces who called the shabby studio their second home, building some of the strongest careers in rock music.

Some of the albums created there include Nirvana's Nevermind, Neil Young’s After the Gold Rush, Fleetwood Mac’s eponymous album and Johnny Cash’s Unchained.

And through interviews, photos and video footage, Dave shows us how Mick Fleetwood met Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham, leading to them joining Fleetwood Mac.

Looking at the rise of digital editing, he also discovers exactly why Butch Vig, Frank Black, Trent Reznor and Lars Ulrich all chose to work in an analogue environment.

The film ends when Dave brings some of the great names together at his Studio 606 to record a new album on the original Sound City Neve console.

It culminates in new performances from Rick Springfield, Stevie Nicks, Lee Ving, Josh Homme, Trent Reznor, Krist Novoselic and Sir Paul McCartney.

The documentary had a one-off screening in the UK in February last year.

Sound City will air on Friday, January 31, at 10:15pm BBC Four.

American Horror Story... "Seven Wonders" with Stevie Nicks. What did you think?

AMERICAN HORROR STORY: COVEN - SEASON FINALE
Stevie was the focus of the full cold opening of tonights season finale of Coven. "Seven Wonders" was the title of the episode... and sure enough Stevie sang the Fleetwood Mac track "Seven Wonders". I thought it was really cool... and just like a music video which Ryan Murphy weeks ago said it would be.

While lip syncing to the song Stevie passed through many of the rooms on the main floor of Miss Robichaux's Academy decked out in a long flowing dress, platform boots and that famous top hat all the while singing "Seven Wonders" (the original 1987 Fleetwood Mac version from the Tango In The Night album).  Glimpses of the girls in the coven off in their own spaces studying and getting ready for the Seven Wonders competition were shown while the track played.  At the end of the song (It wasn't the full song, but a large portion of it), Stevie stood at the bottom of the stairs as the girls made their way down the staircase. They stopped... She said "Good luck girls" then turned, and walked down the long hallway and out the door.  Pretty major segment! Not sure what happened with the track that Ryan Murphy said Lindsey and Stevie were working on for the show... Maybe it was supposed to be a retooling or updating of "Seven Wonders", not sure.  In any case, it didn't happen.

Silver Springs was also used in the show later on after the new Supreme was revealed and a burning at the stake of an older witch took place.

Great show!  Cool opening to the season finale for sure... and an unexpected crowning of the new Supreme.

Fleetwood Mac deliver an experience of a lifetime

Fleetwood Mac end their 2013 tour in a special and private 72 minute celebration in Las Vegas and deliver an experience of a lifetime.

January 26 2014 – The sweet familiar opening drum beat of The Chain echoes in the conference room at the Paris hotel in Las Vegas. Unlike every other night of this tour, the familiar screams from the 15,000 Mac faithful at the typical hockey or basketball stadium venues are absent. Instead a few hundred fans are up off their wedding style seats and applaud politely. The majority of the attendees are a different type of crowd – one that needs to be won over and be seduced by the sound of Fleetwood Mac.

*SPOILER* #AHSCoven Season Finale Details PLUS what Stevie Nicks Sings Revealed #FleetwoodMac

By Andrea Reiher

"American Horror Story: Coven" is coming to a close Wednesday (Jan. 29), with the girls set to take part in the Seven Wonders test to find out the identity of the next Supreme. We've seen the episode and we have to say, it is full of so many twists and turns our heads are still spinning. Read on for a few spoiler-y tidbits.

  • We were right about Stevie Nicks returning for this episode. She's on hand to perform, as luck would have it, "Seven Wonders" by Fleetwood Mac. Their song "Silver Springs" is also used.
  • The Seven Wonders is the Supreme test for a reason. Even if only one witch can pass it and become the Supreme, that doesn't mean every other witch merely fails and comes out the other side unscathed. So, be prepared.
  • We've always known Madison was a stone-cold ... witch, but she really takes the cake in the finale.
  • There has been insight into the own personal Hells of Queenie, Delphine and Marie. In the finale, we add several more personal Hells to the list. It's quite insightful.
  • The ending of the episode leaves us wishing there was a second season of "Coven." We guarantee you're going to like the finale.

"American Horror Story" airs Wednesday nights at 10 p.m. ET/PT on FX.
