Charles Kelley and Stevie Nicks cover Tom Petty's "Southern Accents" on "Driver" Avail. Feb 5th

Charles Kelley Enlists Miranda Lambert, Stevie Nicks for Solo LP

Lady Antebellum's Charles Kelley has set February 5th as the release date for his solo debut The Driver and has enlisted rock goddess Stevie Nicks and country superstar Miranda Lambert to ride along with him.

“Southern Accents” (feat. Stevie Nicks) (Tom Petty) – Petty’s original arrangement from his 1985 album of the same name doesn’t get shaken up much during Kelley’s cover. It’s still piano-driven, with a little percussion to add rhythm before things begin to swell. Nicks gets her own verse, in addition to singing alongside Kelley.

Full details on the album available at Rollingstone or Taste of Country

Charles, and Stevie with a tom petty classic, I can't wait to hear that. Oh My! Maybe more lady Antebellum & Stevie stuff to come this year. Like touring together, How awesome would that be.

Well she did say solo project(s) plural before returning to Fleetwood Mac to complete their next record. This is clearly one of them. Hopefully the second vault record and some more collaborations along the way, as well as a short solo tour.

This was recorded during her Nashville sessions for 24 Karat Gold almost two years ago. Same for the song on Don Henlys' Cass County. Long ago in the tank. These two recordings have long sailed on her schedule.
