"Stevie Nicks: In Your Dreams" Due Out as Digital Download on July 1st >> With Bonus Footage

"Stevie Nicks: In Your Dreams" Due Out as Digital Download on July 1

Virgil Films will offer a digital download release of one of the musical cinematic events of the season, Stevie Nicks: In Your Dreams, which is being issued on the heels of the film's recent successful theatrical run. Starting July 1 fans will be able to download a version directly from the filmmakers (Stevie Nicks and Dave Stewart) at inyourdreamsmovie.com

This exclusive download will feature never-before-seen bonus footage from the film. Stevie Nicks: In Your Dreams will also make its VOD premiere through cable and digital retailers across the country on July 1.

The doc is an intimate portrait of Stevie Nicks, the Grammy-winning artist and member of legendary rock band Fleetwood Mac, as she creates an album with Dave Stewart of Eurythmics fame. Co-produced and co-directed by Nicks and Stewart, the film goes behind the scenes as Nicks and Stewart embark on a musical journey to write and record the critically acclaimed album In Your Dreams.

Outtake scenes would be cool.... But I hope some of that bonus footage are the full videos for the songs...

This is STUPID. So if you bought the iTunes version now you have to buy the film AGAIN directly through Stevie to get "bonus footage."

I knew this would happen. I'll bitch and bitch about it but I'll buy it. Like I do everything else she does.

I really, really hope it's the full videos, too. Annabel Lee! Italian Summer! Wide Sargasso Sea!

Full videos would be very cool! .. hint hint .. also A DVD!!!!!!!!! Why does Stevie want to make me go out and buy a new laptop geez I hope she's getting kick backs from the internet. computer companies and itunes etc.

Spend more money on a digital download. I already spent the money on ITunes. Also if I want a DVD of it I have to pay the cable company for VOD. Her management does not understand the we are coming out of a recession and some of use no longer work full time. Have the employers do not hire anyone full time. We will keep repacking items and take advantage of the hard working fans.

Will I be able to download it here in Australia? We STILL haven't been able to see the movie..

Saw the movie so I'm holding out for the DVD. And I want to know what the bonus footage is before I buy it.

Most of the doc made me cringe, so I doubt I'll be watching any version of it again.

I really this will also work for people outside the US....

Not really understanding the comments about having to buy the video "again" and the anger over it.

You don't have to buy it again. The bonus material will make its way to Youtube and Real Video on a PC will enable this footage to be downloaded and burned to a DVD-R.

Stevie fans are the most angry people who walk the face of the earth. There is always angry bitter and harsh comments posted about virtually every story posted in this site.

Take some Klonopin, people. You need boatloads of it so you can chill out and calm the hell down.

^^ I completely agree with the comment above. Such anger and bad energy is embedded in the comments of this blog most of the time. Relax. Breathe deeply. Serenity now.

It's all good. Any glimpse into the creative process and supremely bizarre life of Stevie is great. And yes, eventually it will all filter out on the net one way or another. Everyone , please follow the wise advise from above and take your chill pill of choice. I'm hoping for full length videos of most if the teasers we got from IYDs.

It just keeps getting better.

I've been
a Stevie fan since age 12 some 38 years ago. I'm old school and would only by it if it were released on DVD in a record store. If it doesn't get a DVD release
life goes on.

I agree with Jared del Rey. How many formats are they going to release? Some people don't want to spend 20-40 bucks on a documentary

Typically all the different formats are rolled out together. This seems painfully drawn out.
Having said that, I would only buy one, no matter the rollout. If I were to buy more than one format I certainly wouldn't bitch about it

I purchased the iTunes release and was sorely disappointed there were no extras. More than anything I want the other music videos - "Wide Sargasso Sea," "Annabel Lee," "Everybody Loves You," and "Italian Summer." If all the videos are packaged as extras I'm okay spending the money on buying the documentary again.

Yes I am equally annoyed this is happening, but I'm sure Stevie herself didn't make the decision. She does have a record label, and Dave Stewart's production company produced it. I would imagine she's equally annoyed about a second digital release, and I'm sure she would much prefer it to just go to DVD/BR. However, at the end of the day it is what it is.

Perhaps IF the bonus features are all the remaining music vids from the album Stevie will make them available to iTunes for those of us who have the documentary and the first four music vids.

Respectfully.....if we are truly fans who respect Stevie's work I believe we should purchase this product. Waiting for the extra footage to be posted on You Tube so it can be downloaded and burned to disk', as the anonymous posted suggested, only proves her point that the music industry is dead because of piracy. I am sure we are all guilty...myself included... of downloading but if the music/entertainment industry is to survive we must become consumers again and not "downloaders". Stevie, as we all know, worked really hard to give us IYD (and traveled tirelessly before the FM tour to promote the film). As fans we should support this project....otherwise what's the incentive for her to produce new music with the Mac or on her own if it's only going to be pirated. Times are tight for all of us and yes we know she has tons of money. Point is... she and countless others worked hard on this project and they all deserve to be paid for their efforts. I hope we as fans respect that and have enough respect for her and her art to do the right thing. No judgments.... Just my thoughts

to the last post very well said and I mirror that. With that said I personally will wait for the release of it on dvd. I'm not one for downloads and piracy. I am also looking forward to the day when stevie and dave who wants to do a one woman show and do something about her whole musical career. If we the fans want this then we need to surport projects like this and buy it legally
