PHOTO: Stevie Nicks Live in Seattle 1977 Rumours Tour

Up until this week, it had been awhile since I last heard from Photographer Bill Hansen... In 2010 he started sending me a few of his photos that he took of Fleetwood Mac from Seattle in 1977.  Some Really amazing iconic shots! Some of which you may have seen before - but are still amazing to look at after all these years.  The one above is a clearer version of one he sent in previously... Other great photos that Bill has send can be found at the links below.  Thank you Bill!

PHOTOS: Ahhhh the 70's

The decade where Fleetwood Mac ruled the world! Cars were the size of aircraft carriers and no one really cared about living, they cared more about L-I-V-I-N-G...

Vintage Mac Shots... And Stevie Too!

GUITAR TECHNIQUES... LINDSEY BUCKINGHAM "GO YOUR OWN WAY"

Really great shot of Lyndsey Lindsey Buckingham from 1977 in the January, 2011 issue of Guitar Techniques - along with all the notes to play "Go Your Own Way"

Note to the editor of this magazine... Is it really that difficult to check for the proper spelling of the artist name you are featuring in your mag? It appears incorrectly in the article with the spelling Lyndsey, yet in the caption on the photo you get it right.

On 4 February 1977, an album was released that would go on to be one of the best selling albums of all time. Paul Sexton tells the remarkable story behind the making of Fleetwood Mac's Grammy Award-winning album.

Rumours by Fleetwood Mac was made under the most bizarre circumstances. The two couples at the heart of the band, John and Christine McVie and Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham, were in the process of splitting up. No songs were written before going into the studio. And everyone was zonked on cocaine. So they wrote about it all as it happened, and one of the most successful albums of all time was the result.

The Story Of Rumours is told through new interviews with Mick Fleetwood and Lindsey Buckingham, as well as some amazing studio tales from producer Ken Caillat. The other band members feature through archive interviews.

It's interspersed with classic hits from the album, including The Chain, Dreams, Don't Stop and Go Your Own Way.

WOLFGANGS VAULT.... VINTAGE FLEETWOOD MAC PHOTOS 75, 77 & 79

A really amazing collection of photos at Wolfgangs Vault in the photo section.  If you've never been to the site, it's a must!   Loads of really vintage photos (which are a little pricey) and live shows to stream from the concert vault - or buy (at a reasonable cost).  And not of only Fleetwood Mac, but pretty much every band to come along since the 60's & 70's. Just a great site all around. You'll learn a lot and hear alot!

I noticed they've added more photos to the site since the last time I visited, which was sometime ago... Fleetwood Mac in New Haven, CT - 1975 & 1979 at the Veterans Memorial Coliseum and Hartford, CT at the Civic Center - 1977.  Here are just a sample... There's more at the site.

Photographer, Joe Sia, captured moments by focusing on the faces of the performers, the crowd, and by giving the background, whether simple or wild, the importance it deserved in defining the artist and event.

(PHOTOS) FLEETWOOD MAC RUMOURS TOUR, SEATTLE, WA SEPT 3, 1977

FLEETWOOD MAC
SEATTLE, WA - SEPTEMBER 3, 1977
SEATTLE CENTER COLISEUM
Once again, some truly amazing vintage photos taken by Bill Hansen.  I never get tired of seeing all these old photos from the 70's, especially ones through the lens of someone in the audience.  Some of the best captures are from fans!!  It must have been an amazing time to see live shows back then... Real artists up there playing and singing - not a lot of bells and whistles, or tricks.. Just the music...  Thanks again Bill for the trip back to '77 in Seattle.

Bill provided two other shots from this night... You can check them out here
