"Landslide" for STEVIE NICKS at MSG!!

On June 11th, the fifth grade PS22 Chorus of Staten Island performed its rendition of "Landslide" for Stevie Nicks at Madison Square Garden. Stevie was incredibly gracious and kind to all of us, as you can see in the video! She gave every child individual attention and reminded them that anything is within their grasp.

The audio on the video is very low, but of course this had to be posted even if there was no sound at all! The kids added a little piece of "Silver Springs" as an intro to their performance to great effect! And watching Stevie leading the kids from the aisle at MSG is my outstanding memory of the performance, so I'm glad the videographers caught that. It's too bad it's not in smell-o-vision, because this won't capture the KIDS' most outstanding memory of the day -- how good Stevie smelled!!

MEETING STEVIE NICKS AT MSG IN NEW YORK CITY: After having her breath taken away by the PS22 Chorus "Landslide" video, Stevie Nicks and the rest of Fleetwood Mac had us down to Madison Square Garden on Thursday June 11th for a musical rendezvous! She took the time to shake hands and hug (Elijah even got a kiss, the happy boy!) every single member of the chorus when she greeted us. She told the kids about the first time she saw their video of "Landslide," and how it brought her to tears.

THIS NEEDS TO BE SEEN AND HEARD

Wow! I'm blown away... These kids sound so beautiful... Really great job!! Stevie apparently has seen the video and is so proud - even asking the chorus to join Fleetwood Mac at their show in New York City on June 11th and sing the song!

Just got word from Stevie Nicks tour manager that she was completely blown away by the PS22 Chorus rendition of her song "Landslide!" He said she asked him to replay 2 times afterwards, crying each time she watched! Talk about humbling!! And the kicker?? She invited the PS22 Chorus to sing the song at Madison Square Garden for the upcoming June 11th Fleetwood Mac show!! Holy cow!!! Thanks must go to Perez Hilton for getting our video out there and making this incredible opportunity happen for the kids! Unbelievable!! And there's more to come....
