(REVIEW) Fleetwood Mac rock Sydney at Acer Arena
MUSIC is always at its most powerful when it pushes your memory buttons and Fleetwood Mac carressed and pummelled all those sweet spots at Acer Arena last night.

Stevie Nicks may shirk just a few high notes now and then but her rendition of the soaring Sara was enough to bring tears to your eyes.
Lindsey Buckingham was in extraordinary form with his guitar solos and vocals but a little too in-your-face during those grunting moments.
The men holding it all together were chalk and cheese _ bassist John McVie the understated engine room while the delicious craziness and astonishing energy levels of Mick Fleetwood were enough to keep you gasping.
Hit after hit after hit, the setlist would represent the Holy Grail to any band who has only a couple of records under their belt.
Almost the entirety of Rumours _ Go Your Own Way, Don't Stop, Dreams, Second hand News, Silver Springs, Never Going Back Again, Gold Dust Woman, The Chain _ plus Rhiannon, Tusk, Big Big Love and the beautiful Sara gave the devoted fans exactly what they wanted.
Fleetwood Mac perform at Acer Arena again tonight.

FLEETWOOD MAC PERFORM ONE MORE TIME FOR SYDNEY... TONIGHT!
The Sydney Daily Telegraph
Mick from the Mac: Fleetwood Mac play at the Acer Arena tonight. They were founded in 1967 by British drummer Mick Fleetwood as a blues band but thrived on pop in the ’70s. Fleetwood is seen here (left) with the late Australian rocker Billy Thorpe during a 1991 visit to Sydney.

Fleetwood Mac Benchmark Live Performance
Hope Estates, Hunter Valley
December 5, 2009
This was one of those concerts that surpasses the studio recording experience by such a margin that the original recordings in some ways now become a disappointment. The sheer energy and exuberance (Lindsay Buckingham leading the way) place the benchmark for live performance very high. If you put 100% of yourself into what you are doing the audience will respond in kind, a feedback loop is created, which lifts the show to new heights.
I'm not one for jumping up and dancing. Seated - I drift into a cinematic zone - immersed in the light and sound - mesmerised. That was my experience for many of my favourites from the band: 'Tusk', 'Go Your Own Way', 'Don't Stop'. I was floating up there above the stage - totally absorbed - no artificial stimulants required.
These 'older' bands have something that newer bands cannot have - years and years of experience - perfectly illustrated by 'Oh Well'. This songs stops and starts on a pin and showed off the bands virtuosity to a tee. Wow. Blew my socks off.
Sound quality was perfect and the light show and the silhouette effect created by the rear projection did not distract but enhanced, so bonus points to the sound guys and the stage design.
Performance 10/10. Sound 10/10. Visuals 10/10. Atmosphere 10/10. Venue 10/10.
Highly recommended. Wish I could take it all home with me to experience it all again...
