You can see the prices if you search "24 Karat Gold" on the Warner site. Here's a link: http://store.warnermusic.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=24+Karat+Gold

Good song, listless vocal (with a couple of bright moments) and AWFUL production. Just what I feared.

I have placed my order for the Deluxe and Vinyl and can’t wait until it arrives…I can go to bed now seeing that I am in Australia and it is 1.30am!!!

To illustrate what an awful production this is, I'll point to the musical break and the bridge. WTF? Dave came up with NOTHING for either! There's no solo to speak of in the musical break, and in the bridge ("I'll be the dancer/You'll be the player") Stevie's voice just sits there on its own with no instrumentation to propel the song forward and no overdubs to underscore or support her. It's dreadful. If this is the single, I'm truly worried about the rest of it. Lindsey or Jimmy would never have done this.

Wow! Very cool bundles to choose from... Not sure which one I'll get.
The Dealer is okay. Probably won't listen to it that much. Totally stoked to hear Blue Water though!

Do we know if the Vinyl (Listed as 24 Karat Gold Deluxe LP) will be available on amazon eventually? Or is it just through Warners' site? Thanks for the lighting fast details this morning!

How sad, that people can do nothing but criticize. Stevie sounds great. Yes, her voice has changed and it's so annoying to go over that fact again and again with her fans. At least she can still sing. Be thankful that she doesn't try to reach the notes that she can no longer hit. She's smart enough to work with her voice as it is now, not then. Having listened to the original demo, her vocals sound very similar and I think the whole idea was NOT to change the demos. That is how the demo was recorded and Stevie stayed true to form. Grant you, not having heard the rest of the songs, I can't state whether they have been changed lyrically or musically but this is something Stevie's fans thought she would never do. Most artists today wouldn't do something like this for their fans - we are very lucky, whether it's the demos we would have chosen or not.

Wow! Great bundle choices--awesome of her to do for us die hards--lol.
The Dealer is okay. Like Everyday from TISL was okay. Single worthy? Not really.i fear it won't generate any excitement for the project. I could be wrong and hope I am. My friend listened to it and thought it was Bonnie Raitt ish, which I'm guessing is an ok thing. I'm stoked to hear Blue Water though...

Are the bonus tracks included on the vinyl????

In the descriptions for the different bundles it lists the CD as 24 Karat Gold CD whereas the digital copy is listed as 24 Karat Gold Deluxe Digitial Album. I hope the bonus songs are on the CD too, but this descripton makes me wonder.

Here is how it is listed for the Photobook album which is what is confusing me:
Bundle includes:
24 Karat Gold CD
24 Karat Gold Deluxe Digital Album
The Dealer Digital Single
TBD Digital Single 1
TBD Digital Single 2
TBD Digital Single 3

Anybody know? Thanks.

Love the sound of this. Reminds me so much of early Warren Zevon albums.

On my good pair of home speaker, The Dealer sounds just great, far better than the preview clip. Vintage Nicks lyrics, ala 1983-85. I also like that the production is not over-layed and "today" sounding. It sounds comfortable and warm.

I don't know for sure... but my take on the 2 bonus tracks is that they will be digital only. The CD will be 14 tracks and the digital album you receive the day its released will be the 16 tracks.

The dealer is currently number 9 on itunes rock chart!!!

The photo in THE DEALER video looks very similar to the "bookend" photo used in the opening and closing of the GYPSY video - it may even be from the same session.

I disagree. It sounds to me that the CD will have the extra tracks. The only reason they are including the digital album with CD is to insure the album are in the hands of the buyer ON Oct 7th. The CD will ship on the 7th for delivery a couple days after release day.

This is what happened with IYD for direct Warner Bros purchases.

It has already been stated that the Photobook CD will include the two bonus tracks.

Good notices in the press on today's first single. Even Rolling Stone magazine liked it!

Please, help the ignorant- me- I can't pre-order. Cart is empty and won't allow me to add items to the cart. Why? Anybody else having trouble ordering? The last time i used the warner store was for the IYD dvd autographed bundle, or for Soundstage with the litho, and I hope i don't have to log in, I can't remember a password used only twice. Add to cart, check out, should be easy. I already feel stupid, so call me stupid, just what's the trick to adding the vinyl and deluxe cd? Ya think they'd make it easy to get my 100 bucks or so!

I was just about to preorder the 24 Karat Gold CD Album + Digital Album + Litho package and noticed that now it gives you a choice of a litho either the "Polaroid Numbered Lithograph" or "24 Karat Numbered Lithograph." Is anyone else seeing the same?

I've been very impressed with the reviews I've read today, especially the Rolling Stone review. I'm also impressed with how MANY reviews I've seen.

I am confused by the "Polaroid Numbered Lithograph" or "24 Karat Numbered Lithograph" drop-down menu too! Asked the WB Store about it - waiting for a response; you know that's the hardest part...

I have to side with the critics here. What a graceless boring clunker of a song, what shabby thin production. For a woman who has such unique talents Stevie sure works hard to make sure they are as hidden as possible in much of her solo efforts. Apologies to those who unconditionally adore everything she does.

You have to side with the critics here? You mean that one person who decided they weren't going to like this album when those 10-second sound clips were released? There's a whole bunch of reviews on this site that seem pretty glowing to me. Personally, I love The Dealer. I think it has a nice stripped down, rootsy feeling to the music that makes me think of Bella Donna. I also think Stevie's vocals are really strong and that the song has some incredible lyrics. I will say that I liked the song on first listen but started to love it only after I listened to it quite a few times. Anyway, I know not everyone is going to like it or the other songs on the forthcoming album. I just hate when people have to go that extra step and be rude about it, which is pretty much par for the course on any comments section on the internet so such is life I guess!

I think I ordered the Photo book + CD version since the lithograph would only occupy my Stevie collection closet like the IYD litho does.

I say "think" because the site was very slow and kept locking up.

I say "think" because I see the charge on my credit card but I did not receive a link to download "The Dealer" nor an email confirming the order.

Is this what others experienced?

^^To my ears, the "stripped down, rootsy feeling" that you experience sounds rushed and lacking creativity. This track sounds unfinished and lacks the dynamics/drama of a full-throttle Stevie Nicks solo effort. It's almost as if they entered the studio with the sole intention of recreating the demo note-for-note with the exception of a spare guitar lick here and there. Was time of the essence? Yep, it sure does sound like it. Throughout "In Your Dreams," you could hear the love and the labor that went into crafting every sound, every note. Here it just sounds like they took one take and decided it was "good enough" and then shoved it in the can. I don't think this bodes well for the rest of the album.

You def should have received a confirmation email from the Warner Music Webstore which also contains the link to download "The Dealer". The contact email is store@wmgecom.com

Thanks for the comment and info. I appreciate it and will contact Warners.

To the above poster, it's fine that you don't like the production. Personally, I think it's the perfect sound for Stevie at this time. Like you, I also love the sound of In Your Dreams, although it seems quite a few people around here don't as many complained about that. It seems a lot of people in particular didn't like the glossiness of songs like Secret Love and Everybody Wants You though I especially liked the latter. Anyway, I can't wait to hear the rest of the new album!

The poster who says it sounds unfinished is bang on. It has a hollow, amateurish sound. Stevie's vocals are dry and effortful, and there is no wall of sound to buoy her along. Flat and deadly. Sorry.

what is the difference between the 24 karat lithograph and the polaroid lithograph?
