A REALLY interesting portion of the interview is when Michael Shelley mentions Fleetwood Mac getting back together in 2013 and asks Ken if they will make a new album and if they were would he be interested in being a part of that.. Ken said, yes he would and that he called Mick Fleetwood, then Ken backed-up abit and said he was talking to Christine a few months ago, she called him to say she enjoyed his book and how he portrayed her in it and that it put passion back in the music for her.  Ken said he then asked Christine why she wasn't playing anymore and she said she gets bored, her hands play the same things etc.  He then went on to tell Michael that he produced Christine's last solo album (In The Meantime) back in 2005 and that he still has the tracks from that, and that there are 4 or 5 tracks off the album that were never used... So when he was talking to Mick, Ken suggested that the band replace the parts on the tracks with Bass parts by John, Guitar by Lindsey and Drums with Mick... and get Stevie and Lindsey on the background tracks... and that would be the first Fleetwood Mac group song(s)!  Christine would love to do it said Ken... Mick said it was a good idea, but the problem is getting everyone to agree to it, and Ken just left it at that...

How exciting would that be??  This is the perfect solution as far as I'm concerned... I've always thought that if Fleetwood Mac were to record again, there's no reason why Christine couldn't participate in the album. SOMEONE... make this happen!!!

Not likely because of, but nice timing non-the less. Amazon have discounted Stevie's first solo album 1981's Bella Donna to $4.99 just prior to it's 31st Anniversary.  With these deep discounts on albums that Amazon has been having, boat loads of older titles have been showing up on Billboard's Album Charts, Fleetwood Mac albums included.  It was no surprise a few weeks ago when Bella Donna also discounted at the time also made a rare appearance on the Catalogue Albums and Catalogue Digital Albums Charts.  The album is up for grabs again on Amazon for $4.99, not for the mp3 album this time, but for the actual disc.  Don't have it?  Good time to buy if you don't... Too bad the new album "In Your Dreams" couldn't get a discount like this.  With Stevie profile raised while on tour in the US right now, it's the perfect opportunity.

Since original (and long-gone) bandleader Peter Green founded Fleetwood Mac in 1967 — named for his bandmates, with the “Mac” added to entice McVie to join — the pair saw lineups disintegrate in every way imaginable. One guitarist fled mid-tour to join a Christian cult. Two frontmen fell victim to mental illness brought on by LSD. Inter-band love (and sex) famously tore the band apart while massive success brought in a mountain of cash and an avalanche of powdered distraction. But these two soldiered on, keeping the band active throughout 17 albums, 70-plus singles, and five decades — forever locked in.

Chart Update: Fleetwood Mac USA, UK, IRELAND and AUSTRALIA

Fleetwood Mac's re-issued 25 Years The Chain hangs in there in the Top 40 on the UK charts for a 5th week moving down slightly by 4 spots to #38 from #34 last week! The 4cd box set celebrating it's 20th Anniversary this year is still being discounted heavily at retail... This won't last, so if you are in the UK and you need your Fleetwood Mac fix... Two Albums drop out of the Billboard Top 200 Albums Chart and one re-enters... Fleetwood Mac's The Very Best Of drops out of the Top 200 after a 4 week stay.  Fleetwood Mac's 1975 white album also drops out after re-entering last week at #187. Rumours re-enters at #191.

Fleetwood Mac's Greatest Hits remains on the chart dropping down to #91 after re-entering the Top 200 last week at #65. Sales for Greatest Hits this week are 5,612 vs 6,544 the previous week, a decline of 14%.  Total sales since November, 1991 in the US = 4,568,278.

Fleetwood Mac's Rumours re-enters the Top 200 Albums Chart this week at #191 selling 2,889 units for the week up 17% over the previous week where the album sold 2,467.  Total album sales since November, 1991 in the US = 2,971,034. With Rumours re-entering the Top 200 it reclaims the title from "Fleetwood Mac" as the longest-running Mac album on the Billboard Top 200. "Fleetwood Mac" reached 149 weeks on the big chart last week, matching "Rumours", but it falls off the chart this week as "Rumours" returns and reaches the 150 week mark.

On the Top 50 Catalogue Albums Chart, Fleetwood Mac place 3 titles, the most of any act.  Greatest Hits at #9 is down two places from last week.  Rumours at #40 is up 10 spots from last week, and 1975's Fleetwood Mac is down 10 spots to #50 this week.  The Very Best of drops out of the Top 50 on the chart this week.

Wow! is it just me or does it feel like Livenation is really pushing this show! If you been following along with the contests that I've posted, it just seems like the Washington date has had it's fair share (and more) of contests and ticket give-away opportunities.  In the last week alone there have been countless contests through tv stations, radio stations etc. and now with Goldstar, they've slashed ticket prices to $20.00!  Either the show isn't selling that well, or they are just trying to top up the venue.  In any case, for those on a budget, $20 bucks to see two Hall of Famers in action is a pretty spectacular deal - even if the tickets are in the rafters!  Plus it's a Friday night! I'd get in on this deal if you can and are in the Washington D.C. area.
LINDSEY BUCKINGHAMSECOND SELL-OUT REPORTED

At the other end of the spectrum.... Lindsey Buckingham is selling out venues, albeit smaller venues... but still he's moving some tickets!  So far two are reporting sell-outs. Nashville, TN (Franklin actually) and Austin, TX with other venues either close to being sold, or well on their way.  To me, it almost seems like the venues are selling better on this leg of the tour then they did on his California leg and upper east coast dates earlier this spring... I don't really know that for sure, it's just a perception.  In any case... Good for Lindsey!  He deserves it!  If you are close to one of his shows...  Check him out before Fleetwood Mac steals him away for next years tour.  Could be awhile before he's able to get back out on the road solo.  Tour dates here

By her own acknowledgement, Stevie Nicks was late to the stage Sunday night. Eleven months late, to be exact. Due to vocal issues, the legendary singer and iconic front woman for classic rock royalty Fleetwood Mac was forced to cancel her August 2011 show at the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa. She certainly made up for lost time, wowing the crowd with her trademark rasp, string of hit songs, and inimitable gypsy goddess style.
“I’ve danced across the stages of the world,” she informed the audience, filled with loyal and energized fans, many of them dressed in flowing dresses and bangles. “Let’s just have fun tonight,” she encouraged. “Let’s have a really good time.”

STEVIE NICKS and DON HENLEY To Perform Together Sept 14th in Vancouver

The evening prior to the Voices In The Park public performance September 15th, there is going to be a ‘backyard gourmet’ private event catered by chef David Hawksworth with an acoustic show by Stevie Nicks and the Eagles’ Don Henley.”

Sarah McLachlan called in a favour with Henley as she has played fundraisers for his Walden Woods Project to prevent the area around Walden Pond from being developed. More artists and information on the Voices in the Park performance will be coming in the next weeks, she says.

Voices In The Park is a live musical event being staged in Stanley Park, Vancouver, BC to raise money for Sarah McLachlan School of Music.

Stevie Nicks played to a sold-out Borgata event center last night.

Stevie apologized for having to cancel last years show in Atlantic City due to illness, then went on to explain that this wasn't a greatest hits tour but a showcase of her newer material from her last album. The faithful responded with thunderous applause of approval.  Ghosts Are Gone and Love Is were omitted from the show.... Landslide was the encore performance... Stevie's taking it easy on her voice.  She has a 4 day break before opening night with Rod Stewart in Cleveland....

STEVIE NICKS on Oprah's Master Class... Would be brilliant!

STEVIE ON OPRAH'S MASTER CLASS?
Sheri Salata, Executive Producer at Oprah Winfrey's Network OWN, tweeted earlier today that she's 
"hoping to shoot the brilliant and legendary Ms. Nicks on Master Class soon."

Does this mean it's something they've been working on, that it's booked, or is it just a 'hope' of Ms. Salata's?

In any case... I love the idea of Stevie appearing on the show... I've caught a few of the episodes of the show myself and have to say that these shows are extremely interesting, thought-provoking presentations of each guest featured.  Each episode of Oprah's Master Class focuses on one person's journey or story thus far, what they've learned in life and about themselves and what others can learn from their experiences.  Each person is hand-picked by Oprah for their unique impact on the world.  

Stevie certainly has had a unique impact on the world over the last 35 or so years and I think she's the perfect candidate to be featured.  Don't you?  Sound off in the comments.

The twirls may be a little slower these days, but the spirit remains strong.

Tuesday night at the Bank of America Pavilion, Stevie Nicks enchanted with a two-hour set that was part “Storytellers,” part patriotic tribute, part crystal visions, and all heart.

The show was heavy on tracks from her latest album, 2011’s splendid “In Your Dreams,” which may have been unfamiliar to some in the packed house, but Nicks was a savvy sorceress of sequencing.

The Fleetwood Mac chanteuse wisely prefaced new tunes with stories about their origins to provide a way in and alternated fresh tracks with big hits, engendering good will.

That meant that Fleetwood Mac’s “Dreams” — still retaining its warm, woozy charm — flowed nicely into “Moonlight (A Vampire’s Dream)” — which Nicks explained began life in the early ’70s and was resurrected when she was inspired by the second “Twilight” film — which then segued easily into a churning, spectral, wailing “Gold Dust Woman.”

Stevie Nicks battles rock legacy at Mohegan

UNCASVILLE _ Marking the second summer in a row that she has been touring to promote her latest release “In Your Dreams,” Stevie Nicks performed for more than two hours at the sold out Mohegan Sun Arena on Thursday night.

Despite a rock legacy that stretches back to the 70s, it was new music that Nicks wanted to focus on during her 16 song set.

“This isn’t a Stevie Nicks greatest hits tour and there probably never will be another Stevie Nicks greatest hits tour,” she told the audience. “I have to do new music. I can’t keep doing the old stuff or it will make me crazy. I won’t let go of this new album until I have to.”

Even with the courteous attention given to the new material, Nicks played six tracks from the record, it was the hits of yesteryear mixed in between that had the audience rushing the stage.

With veteran guitarist Waddy Wachtel leading the band, Nicks hit the stage with a cover, blasting out Led Zeppelin’s “Rock’ N’ Roll,” setting the tone for the evening. She followed up with “Enchanted,” from her seminal solo release “The Wild Heart.”

Then began a sequence of new and then old as if the different eras of her career were in competition. It was “Secret Love” (new) followed by “Dreams” the song Nick’s said served as Fleetwood Mac’s only Number One hit on the Top 40 charts.

VIRGINIA BEACH - JULY 14TH

Stevie Nicks' second to last solo show this month at Farm Bureau Live  in Virginia Beach Saturday Night was cut short by what looks like an 11pm curfew... It was a hot muggy night in Virginia Beach... Stevie looked great (check out the photos), but the set had to be tighted up to meet an 11pm curfew.  Gone were Ghosts Are Gone + The encore Love Is.  The show ended at 10:45pm with Landslide which was moved to the encore slot.  Also missing on this night were the band intros.
