"she offered and we were thrilled" Mick Fleetwood and Stevie Nicks on Christine McVie's Return To The Stage

"I think she's going to come and do the last two shows in London,"

Fleetwood Mac have opened up about their upcoming reunion with former keyboardist Christine McVie at their upcoming London shows.

"I think she's going to come and do the last two shows in London," said drummer Mick Fleetwood. "It's going to be great - Christine's music is so much part of Fleetwood Mac. She's been gone now for many, many years and she's like my sister.

"We're going to make her feel comfortable and have fun and I think people will love it. She's always honoured by the nature of her songs and the depth of that. When she decided to leave 14 or 16 years ago, we were sad and thought that maybe she'd come back, but she made that choice."
He continued: "A lot of people are saying 'is she going to come back?' and the answer to that is that she would be welcome, but that would be her choice. We will see. At some point we're going to knock it on the head, I'm not sure when, but in that context it would be something that would be entertained."
Frontwoman Stevie Nicks added: "She's coming to do two nights here and probably do 'Don't Stop'. I'm not sure, but she's coming to Dublin to rehearse whatever song she's going to do. We never wanted her to leave, so for us it's amazing that she is going to come."

Stevie Nicks 'thrilled' by Christine McVie's Fleetwood Mac London return
Stevie Nicks has told Digital Spy that Fleetwood Mac are "thrilled" Christine McVie will rejoin the band for a special appearance in London.
McVie, who last performed with Fleetwood Mac in 1998, will rehearse with the band in Ireland this week. She is tipped to appear at two shows in the capital later this month.
Nicks told DS at the UK premiere of documentary Stevie Nicks: In Your Dreams that McVie had approached Fleetwood Mac about joining up with them again, explaining: "Well, she said she'd do it. She did not say she would do it on the last two tours.

"So, she offered and we were thrilled, and it's great to have her back and to do a song. She's been very, very missed, so even to have her back for a little while is going to be good.

"And it will be good to see her, I mean, we never see her, you know? We're all so far away. I mean, London to California is far. So it's really great that she's decided to hang out with us for a little bit."
McVie and Mick Fleetwood joined Nicks at the Curzon cinema in Mayfair on Monday night (September 16) for a screening of In Your Dreams, which was directed and produced by Nicks and Dave Stewart.

I am so upset! How dare they allow her to play shows in London when we in the U.S. were told there was no way she would EVER return. I paid the same prices they did in England. Why should I get the short end of the stick?! I even paid more money than MANY in the U.S. almost $200 more per ticket. I am FIRED UP!

^wow. chill out. It is what it is. I went to 5 US shows and I'm not whining about paying the same face value (which is highly unlikely btw). And you know what? All the fans in Japan have to deal with markups on EVERYTHING from our music industry...CDs, DVDs, tickets, posters, box sets, etc. The labels know not only can they saturate that market, but they can keep prices at a premium because everything will sell. And GUESS WHAT? You never hear the Japanese b*tch and moan. If anyone has the right to complain it's them!

^ Oh come on! She's not returning to the Band, she is planning on a joining them for 1 song on stage during night 2 & 3 in London. You paid almost $200 more per ticket? Why? I had 4th row center and paid less than $200.00 and thought the show was worth every penny. Loved it! Christine lives in the UK and has offered to join them this time for a brief appearance on stage. She also joined Mick in Hawaii with his blues band. She can do what she wants when she wants. The tour has been promoted as Mick John Stevie Lindsey. The two shows in London will be a great one off bonus for those attending. Enjoy on youtube.

Your upset how do you think I feel!Shes doing the last two shows problem is I have tickets for the opener, not so much fired up more down and depressed about the whole concert.

To play shows in certain shows and not ask for more money is a SLAP in the face to those who paid the same! I'll never buy another thing from this band, ever again!

I wish I could see her when she joins them again..i saw FM back in June but to see the whole band together would be the concert of a lifetime.....should be interesting to see if they can go back to the old sound after 16 years without her, they have crafted a amazing sound without her , however I would give anything to see the show she will do with them....BTW love In Your Dreams then album and documentary...I LOVE STEVIE NICKS...

She's got to do the 24th in London - This was the original posted date - Been looking forward to it for months, but not so now. Scrambled for tickets, got to travel peak time & take holiday from work to be there. Might not bother!!!

I'm excited to be seeing any off them play, and will be very happy with the four of them. But if she decides she can do more than two shows (THE 24TH!!) it would be incredible. I'm sure she'll do as much as she can. Its still a bit vague - they "think" she's going to do the last two London shows.

Can't believe the band would want to have 20000 disappointed fans on their opening night in London. It's unthinkable that the main topic of conversation on the way home could be "Well she never showed up for us"

We just need Stevie to wave that magic wand....more dates....at least one more date...

I guess it is too much to ask Christine to do the Birmingham show!!? It would be fabulous if she did...and, after all, Birmingham is pretty much her home town. I have seen the band twice, once with Christine, but without Lindsey and once with Lindsey, but without Christine. It has always been an ambition to see the five of them live together on stage...sigh..oh so close!
